We share information with families in a range of ways (ie. Newsletter, See-Saw & Dojo APPS, Facebook Posts, Skoolbag APP, emails, diary notes and paper copies of information). We can’t however make sure that you get it and read it! We encourage children from an early age to take responsibility for sharing information with you and rely on you to follow up with your child based on the other communication you receive/notice. Our own processes require that the timelines for the returns of notes, money, consent forms etc must be strictly adhered to. We need to place orders, confirm travel arrangements and costs, ensure we have consent etc. Late returns or non-replies impact on other arrangements and personnel – very much a domino effect. We do not want to disappoint students either, but missing out is sometimes a natural consequence. Please support us in this and if something is refused because it is late, we are not being difficult, we just have to manage our own timelines with efficiency. SAFETY FIRST We remind students about staying safe on their journey to and from school, whether they are riding, walking or coming by car. We have noticed that a number of students are CROSSING THROUGH THE CARPARK often running or riding when there are cars entering and exiting. There was a near miss the other day when some students emerged on their bikes from behind the church hall building, riding at speed. We are fortunate to have footpaths for the students to use so there is no need for them to access the crossing via the carpark if they are walking or riding independently. We would appreciate you reiterating this message with your children. HAPPY HAVEN – SURVEY We hope you haven’t missed your opportunity to let us know your thoughts about having Vacation Care and Pupil Free Days provided at Freeling by Happy Haven. We are reviewing the responses provided to the survey which you can find at https://surveymonkey.com/r/KWC9KXZ We will communicate the survey data to Happy Haven administrators to see if these are viable options for future care at Freeling. WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS

Next week you may notice a few Kapunda High School

students around in classrooms that are undertaking their

Year 10 Work experience at Freeling.

We limit the number of students that are able to complete

their work experience here at any one time and certainly

offer a taste of what it can be like to choose the career

path of teacher.

We welcome Thomas Daff (School) and Meg Shanahan

(Preschool) back to FPS during Week 4.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

SAPSASA Basketball

Students from the year 6 and 7 classes trialled

and were selected to participate in SAPSASA

Basketball.

The girls team coached by Nicole Smart and

Neroska Perez were mostly successful, winning

4 of their 5 games.

The boys were coached by Jon Wilson. They won 2 games, lost 2 and had a draw.

The students showed great sportsmanship,

supporting each other on and off the court.

A special thanks to Mr Wilson, Nicole, Neroska

and Nisa for taking the time to run trainings

and taking the students and coaching them for the day.
