10 Characteristics of Successful Leadership

8 Characteristics of Successful LeadershipSimple thoughts leaders need to embrace and empower to be successful in todays business workplace.TLG-RWME - 20151

1Why these 8 Characteristics? The late Wayne Dyer, John Maxwell, Zig Ziglar, Bob Proctor and many others have expanded on the work of James Allen, Dale Carnegie and Napoleon Hill to give us some great leadership material. This list seems very subjective in most peoples mind but I truly believe it is the core necessary to affect major changes in existing companies. People are starving for integrity, authenticity and commitment and each of these incorporates some level of each to work well.To use these Characteristics, review each, understand your view and commitment levels to each one then implement.

1. You cant give away what you dont have! What does this mean to you?One cannot give away anything physical, emotionally or spiritual that you dont have, can you?For example, if you dont have a pure healthy love for yourself, how can you give love to someone else?If you cant give an element to others how can you expect reciprocation?Biblical perception is in Acts 3:6 Silver or Gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you.As a coach, how hard is it to communicate this thought to someone? Can you cite an example from you life or work? How important do you think this one really is?

3. You are what you think on, read and watch! What does this mean to you? What areas of our lives are affected by this item? How can you safely explore this with clients? Is the subconscious involved in this exercise? What happens with you focus on negative things for 3 days or more? Can this be faked or covered up? Often tried but usually fail

4. Be open minded & attached to nothing! What does this mean to you?Can this be healthy in terms of following, especially the Attach to Nothing portion?Closed minds cut off the power of God to provide his power to everything in our lives.People today look for reasons to be offended, but the only one hurt is the person themselves. Are there biblical lines that should not be crossed when dealing with this issue and a client?TLG-RWME - 20156

5. Change the way you perceive things! What does this mean to you?Do you live in a hostile, destructive universe or do you live in a positive, supportive and growth orientated universe? Power of perception! When we start with a negative perception we will continue to deal with negative until we can turn it around. When you change your thinking, you change your beliefsWhen you change your beliefs, you change your expectationsWhen you change your expectations, you change your attitude. When you change your attitude, you change your behavior. When you change your behavior, you change your performance.

7. There is no such thing as justified Resentment!Have you ever felt justified to resent someone or something for an action, words or engagement?
