Threaded attachment ttingor the downtilt adjustment
cap and the RCU.
Locking ring.
Downtilt adjustment spindlewith integrated downtiltdegree
scale.
Antenna tilt control housing.
Gear wheel or the RCU.
To set the downtilt angleexactly you must lookhorizontally at
the scale. Thelower edge o the gear wheelmust be used or
alignmentpurposes.
In cases where amechanical downtilt isinstalled do not set
themechanical tilt more than14 degrees or the unitmay be
damaged.
Clean the thread sur ace.
Apply the mounting-paste evenlyonto the ull circum erence o
thethread as illustrated in the gure.
Remove the protective downtiltadjustment cap completely romthe
antenna.
Remove the black locking ring by pulling it downward.
Check the phase shi ter or properunction by turning the gear
wheel . The phase shi ter will gosmoothly between minimum
andmaximum tilt when unctioningproperly.
Reset the downtilt to 0 degrees.
Step 3Push the attachment nut o the
RCU down towards the RCUhousing.
Place the RCU care ully overthe adjustment spindle . Besure the
fat side o the spindleis aligned with the fat side o theantenna
tilt control housing .
Care ully push the RCU onto theantenna until it is rmly
seated.
Step 4
Hand tighten the RCU
attachment nut (41 mm).
Torque setting: 1113 t-lb
Connect the RCU control cableimmediately a ter attachmento the
RCU. The torque setting
or the control cable connectormust be 0.40.7 t-lb
(hand-tightened).
Avoid ingestion of mounting-paste
or contact with eyes. In case ofcontact with eyes rinse
thoroughlywith plenty of water and seek medical advice. Avoid
long-termcontact with skin. In case ofcontact with skin wash off

The RCU must be keptin vertical alignmentwith the antenna
duringinstallation or thedowntilt adjustmentspindle may
bedamaged.
