Note: - 1. Weightage will be given to candidates having higher qualifications, experience in the nature of duties attached withthe post, knowledge of computer and extra curricular activities.

2. The candidates, who have earlier applied for the posts at Sr. No. 1 & 3 against advertisement No.GMCH/Estt.-III/EA4/2K8/26458 dated 29.06.09 & GMCH/Estt.-III/EA4/2K8/48687 dated 14.11.2008 respectively and found eligibleat that time, need not to apply afresh. Their candidature will be considered along with other fresh applicants.

3. For short listing the applicants, written test will be conducted, if required.4.. The above posts of Ex-serviceman mentioned at Sr. No. 2 & 4 are subject to that if Ex-serviceman candidates are not

available will be filled from the respective categories, as per rules.

UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON 01.01.2009:

1) 18 - 25 years for posts mentioned at Sr. No. 2, 3, & 4.2) 21 30 years for posts mentioned at Sr. No. 1

RESERVATION AND RELAXATION:

1) Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC, 5 years for Government Servants through proper channel, 10 years forHandicapped/ widows/deserted women/women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not married. In the case ofEx-Serviceman upto 45 years of age, provided they satisfy the age-limit prescribed for a particular post after deducting theperiod of their service In the Armed Forces from their actual age and adding three years thereto, whichever may be moreadvantageous to them

2) The claim of the candidate to reserved categories should be considered only when the same is accompanied by the certificateissued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.

3) No age relaxation will be given to the employees of Board/Corporation/Autonomous Bodies etc.4) The SC/OBC and Ex-Serviceman candidates applying for un-reserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in upper age

limit and application fee.

APPLICATION FEE: A fee of Rs. 100/- for General & OBC Category and Rs. 25/- for SC candidates, as non-refundable, in the shapeof demand draft payable at Chandigarh drawn in favour of Director Principal, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh. Physicallyhandicapped persons are exempted from Application fee.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:

i) The number of posts are tentative and can increase or decrease. The department reserves the right to reject/cancel anyapplication or withdraw the posts at any time, without assigning any reasons or without any notice whatsoever.

ii) The persons, who have earlier worked in this institute and their services, were dispensed with on account of misconduct orotherwise by this institute, are not eligible to apply against these posts.

iii) The application in the placed below proforma alongwith self attested copies of certificates/ degree/ proof of date of birth,educational qualification, caste and testimonials and latest passport size self attested photograph duly pasted, should reachthe office of the Director Principal (Room No. 228 A, IInd level Block D, Hospital Building, Sector 32, Chandigarh on or before08.01.2010 by 5.00 PM.

iv) The application received after the due date/time, by whatever mode, will not be entertained. Application not received in prescribedproforma or not accompanied by the requisite self attested copies of certificate/degree/proof of date of birth/caste certificate/self-attested photograph duly pasted or incomplete applications or unsigned application etc. will be rejected straightway. Repeatedrejected straightway.

v) Government Servants may apply though proper channel. Their advanced applications will be considered only if receivedthrough the respective Heads of the Departments with No Objection Certificates as well as Departmental/Vigilance clearancereport within the prescribed period otherwise the same will be rejected straightway.

vi) Physical handicapped certificate will be accepted only issued by Govt. Hospital/Medical Board.vii) The advertisement can also be downloaded from our website www.gmch.gov.inviii) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
