SUBJECT: 2014 EQUUS SMART KEY /CARD PROGRAMMING & OPERATION
Description: This bulletin describes the procedure for the programming/teaching and operation of Equus Smart Key Cards and Conventional Smart Keys .
*NOTE
Once the 1st key is programmed, the customer's 2nd and 3rd keys must be programmed at the same time or they will not start the vehicle.
*NOTE
Before attempting the key programming procedure, call Techline to obtain the 6 digit PIC pin code. Techline phone number: 800-325-6604.

Up to 3 Smart Keys (including card type Smart Keys) can be registered to the vehicle . They can be a combination of 2 Conventional Smart Keys and 1 Smart Key Card, or 2 Smart Key Cards and 1 Conventional Smart Key.

Smart Key Card/Conventional Smart Key Programming Procedure:
*NOTE
Before proceeding, have all 3 Smart Keys ready and the 6 digit PIC pin code obtained from Techline. Techline phone number: 800-325-6604.
1. Connect the DLC cable of the VCI to the data link connector located under the left side of dash.
2. From the System Screen , select "PIC" and click "OK"

3. Click the "Vehicle S/W Management" tab. Select "Option Treatment" and then click "Smart Key Code Saving".
4 . Turn the ignition OFF and press "OK" on the GOS.
5. Enter the 6 digit PIC pin code obtained from Techline and click "OK".

6. Have all 3 Smart Keys ready and click "OK".
7. Click "OK" and within 5 seconds use the first Smart Key to press and hold the Start Stop button. Keep the button pressed in fully for one or two seconds , then release .

using 1st FOB w ithin 5 seconds.
(Do not use youninger to press SSB, but use FOB itse lf)

*NOTE
Do not use your finger to press the Stop Start button. Use the Smart Key or Key Card to fully press the button as shown.
When teaching the Smart Key Card , use the upper left corner of the card to press the Start Stop button. It may be marked with red tape.

8. After successfully teaching the 1 st key, this screen will appear. Click "OK" and proceed to teach the 2 nd key.
9. When the 2 nd key teaching is complete , press "OK" and teach the 3 rd and final key.
10. After successfully teaching the 3rd key, this screen will appear. Click "OK".

11 . A screen showing that the Smart Key teaching has been completed will open and will display that 3 Smart Keys have been taught. Click "OK".
12. Confirm operation of all Conventional Smart Keys and Smart Key Cards.
If Smart Keys are inoperative, refer to Steps 3-11 to repeat the procedure.
