The 2020 Student and Class Materials & Supplies charge of $200 can be made anytime from now, either in full or in instalments, provided the amount is PAID IN FULL by the start of the 2020 school year before collecting the Student Stationery Packs. These will be ready for pick up at the General Office between 10am and 3pm on Thursday 23, Friday 24 and Tuesday 28 January. Parents who have a current Healthcare Card/Pension Card on the first day of school, 28/01/2020 listing the student’s name, are eligible to apply for a $100 subsidy per child on their Materials and Supplies Fee. The remaining $100 must be paid in full before collecting the stationery packs. Full information was included in the Yellow Parent Payment Information accompanying the Newsletter last week. If you have any queries, please contact the General Office.

2020 TRANSITION PROGRAM

Last Friday we began our Transition Program which gave the whole School and our 2020 Preps the opportunity to get comfortable with the notion of starting school next year and a chance to mingle with peers in their year level.

Feedback from previous whole-school transitions have been positive from both students and staff. Staff are using these sessions to observe how students get along with others in their year level. Students were also given the chance to make a sociogram of their friends – each student’s 2020 class will have at least one person from their sociogram.

This Friday, and the following Fridays, parents will bring their Pre-Schoolers to the Office and are welcome to stay with them or take advantage of the varied informative sessions on offer in our Library.

The last Transition Session, Friday 13th December, will have students spending from 9am-12.30pm in their 2020 classroom with their 2020 teacher. On this day, a Parent Information Session will be held from 11:30am-12:15pm, for 2020 Prep Parents. If you have any queries regarding the Transition

Program please contact Hayley Doyle or Janene Thompson.

KIDS ARTWORKS PRODUCTS

Parents’ Club are providing families with the opportunity to purchase ‘Kids Art Works’ products. Artworks have been completed by each child at school and sent to ‘Kids Art Works’, where it will be copied onto a quality product. The products available for purchase include: Calendars, diaries (spiral bound), mouse mats, greeting cards and a sketch pad. The company again has provided online ordering. Last week, each student received a form providing a unique code, so that parents/carers can log on to view completed artwork and/or place an order.

*ORDERS CLOSE THIS SUNDAY 1/12/19*

PE REPORT

Swimming Year Prep, 1 and 2 Swimming will begin next Monday 2 December at the Outdoor Swimming Pool.

How’s your oral health?

Do you know that any child under 13 has access to free

dental care from the Swan Hill District Health Dental

Service? Regular dental check-ups are important to en-

sure healthy teeth and gums. It’s important for children

to regularly visit a dentist from an early age to prevent

dental issues as well as to develop healthy habits. Call

the clinic on 5033 9336 or drop into 30 High Street Swan

Hill to book your appointment.

LIBRARY STOCKTAKE It’s that time of the year again! Library Stocktake started this week, and this means no more borrowing and all borrowed out library books must be returned to the Library.

Mrs K is running the usual competition for the first class with ALL books returned. The winning class has the option of either a chocolate cake or Zooper Doopers!

WALK OR RIDE ON WEDNESDAY

This week’s ‘Walk on Wednesday’ winners are Ruby from PC and Ajim from 3K. They said it is great walking to school because it keeps you fit.

AUSSIE OF THE MONTH Congratulations to our Junior Aussie of the Month for September, Nikyrah from Prep B. Nikyrah was presented with her certificate and voucher at Assembly on Monday.

Nikyrah is a kind and helpful student who loves coming to school and walks in with a big smile on her face every morning. She is always looking for an opportunity to help her teacher and her classmates.

Nikyrah works very hard on her

school work. She enjoys all

areas of the curriculum and

puts in 100% effort into every

lesson and task.

Nikyrah is always willing to take on new challenges every day. She has an amazing amount of respect for others and does her best to make sure everyone feels welcome. Miss Correnti has greatly enjoyed getting to know her this year and can’t wait to see her future achievements.

Well Done Nikyrah!!
