7 things listed that the Lord hates and are an abomination to Him 

❏  A proud look  

❏  A lying tongue 

❏  Hands that shed innocent blood 

❏  A heart that deviseth wicked thoughts 

❏  Feet that are quick to find trouble 

❏  A false witness 

❏  Someone that starts trouble (discord)

❏  These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination

unto him. Prov. 6:16  

❏  A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.

 Prov. 6:17  

❏  An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in

running to mischief. Prov. 6:18 

❏  A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among 

his brethren Prov. 6:19 

Instructions to prevent committing abominations 

Keep your father’s commandments and your mothers laws bound in your heart

and tie them around your neck so you will not forget them but rather you will

remember them when you are awake and they will keep you while you sleep. 

Correlating Bible Verses 

○   My son keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of 

thy mother. Prov.12:22 

○   Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

 Prov. 12:23 

○  When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest it shall keep

thee; and when thou awakest it shall talk with thee. Prov. 12:24 

The commandment is a lamp, law is light, and reproofs of instruction are the way

of life that we all should all live.

Keeping God's Commandments, obeying you father and mother’s, and studying the word of God will help you to go
