He actively serves as a greeter for the 9:30 Mass, is a reader for the 6:30 Spanish Mass on Tuesdays and is always willing to help out in any way he can. Nos complace anunciar que la Iglesia Católica de St. Alice ha sido nombrada beneficiaria única del Fondo de Dotty and Frank Light Endowment Fund II de la Fundación de la Comunidad de Oregon (OCF). Como muchos de ustedes saben, Dotty y Frank fueron miembros de St. Alice desde hace mucho tiempo; Dotty era un artista local bien conocido y prolífico, y Frank era organista, director de coro y propietario de una tienda de música. ST. ALICE RECEIVES ENDOWMENT GIFT

We are pleased to announce that St. Alice Catholic Church has been named sole beneficiary of the Dotty and Frank Light Endowment Fund II of the Oregon Community Foundation. (OCF). As many of you know, Dotty and Frank were long-time members of St. Alice; Dotty was a well-known and prolific local artist, and Frank was an organist, choir director, and owner of a music store. The endowment is set up so that the $100,000 corpus of the fund will continue in perpetuity. Annual distributions of earnings will support special projects related to religious education, church programs and initiatives, and pastoral priorities.

Frank began working with us toward the realization of this gift about a year before his death. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of Amy Light, Jonathan Light, and their siblings to make their father’s wishes a reality.

If you wish to make a memorial gift to the Light Endowment, please make your check payable to St. Alice Catholic Church, and write “Light Endowment II” on the memo line. The church will process all endowment donations in accordance with OCF policies and remit the funds to OCF.

FORMER ST. ALICE RECTORY AVAILABLE FOR LEASE

As many of you know, last summer our rectory located at 647-16th Street was leased through Northwoods Property Management. The tenants have given notice that they have chosen not to renew their lease, and thus, the house will be available on August 1st. If you know of anyone interested in leasing the three bedroom, two bath home at $1,495/month, please ask them to contact Northwoods Property Management at 541-914-2282.
