Trees
Activity - 1Listening
Read the following poem after your teacherTrees are the kindest things I know
They do not harm. They simply grow.
And spread a shade for sleepy cows
And gather birds among the boughs
To touch the beams of morning Sun
They are the last to hold the light
When every thing changes into night
They hum a drowsy Bellaby
of sleepy children long ago
Trees are the kindest things I know
Activity - 2
Reading
*Read the following passage carefully and then complete the table given below
I am a tree. I have three main parts and they are the root, the trunk and the branch. My roots absorb water from the soil. My trunk and branches carry the sap and lift the leaves in me into the sunlight. The leaves in me are food factories for me. I give you fruits and shade. Birds build their nest in my branches. Most of the food come from me. I give you fresh air, and many other things. I am so useful to you and I am your best friend.
