Lab Setup Guide Overview

Introduction This Lab Setup Guide provides directions for installing, preparing, and verifying the lab hardware and software for conducting the Sterling B2B Integrator Fundamentals (6T611) course.

The Requirements sections of this document provides details on specific hardware and software that are required to conduct this class.

Purpose The purpose of this lab setup guide is to assist the classroom preparer in setting up the 6T611 Sterling B2B Integrator lab environment.

(Continued on next page)

Important! n The training coordinators should be contacted beforehand as they have to raise the request for Central Lab Platform (CLP).

n Central Lab Platform (CLP) provides a centralized lab environment for hosting course images and it is typically used if the memory requirement of the course image is greater than 4GB.

n Note that the instructor will not have sufficient time to install the software needed for the lab exercises if the classroom is not properly prepared for the first day.

– Raise request for Central Lab Platform (CLP) and confirm the availability of CLP to the Classroom Preparer.

n Role of Classroom Preparer:

– Ensure that classroom has the required number of workstations/laptops.

– Ensure that the workstations/ laptops meet the hardware and software requirements that are specified for the course image.

– Ensure that Citrix web clients are installed in each workstation/laptop to access the image through Central Lab Platform (CLP).

– Ensure that student guides and instructor guides are available in appropriate quantity.

n Role of the Instructor:

– Test the course image to ensure that it is working as expected.

– Check with training coordinator to ensure that user IDs and passwords are created as per the requirements (includes one set for the instructor as well).
