March is Kidney Disease Awareness Month
The National Kidney Foundation reports that 1 in 3 American adults is
at risk for kidney disease. What puts you at higher risk for developing kidney
disease ?
Age 60 or older
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Heart (cardiovascular) Disease
Family history of kidney failure
Important!
You will not be able to feel if high blood pressure has harmed your kidneys. The
only way to know is to be tested. Your doctor can do a few simple tests to check
how well your kidneys are working.

CCNS - Catherine Sheridan Senior Center
35-24 83rd Street, Jackson Heights, NY 11372
March is designated Women's History Month. This year’s theme is
‘’ Working to Form a More Perfect Union”
We salute the wonderful women who serve our program. It is found
that ninety-nine percent of women continue to contribute significantly
through volunteering. That is especially true at the Catherine Sheridan
Center. As we reflect on your many achievements, we thank you for
your significant contributions to our program and in society. Happy
Women's History Month to the Phenomenal Woman of Catherine
Sheridan Senior Center - We salute you!!!
