We hope that you will encourage your child in their study of music this month and every month. Research shows that students who study music perform better in other academic areas such as math. Music study also provides a positive experience where all children can succeed. Be sure to check out the Joan Martin Music Facebook page for more information and updates on music classes! On March 22-24 th we will once again have “Instrument Zoo” days, where students will have a chance to see and try out various musical instruments. If you are available to help with the “Instrument Zoo”, we need LOTS of parents to volunteer! (No musical experience needed!) District policy states that all parent volunteers must have a volunteer application on file. Please contact Mrs. Amsler via phone (219-947-7869, ext. 8524) or email ([email protected]) if you are available to help on those days. Word Study We will work with words from Lesson 16.
