4. What is the definition of acceleration?

The direction of acceleration of an object is in the same direction as the net force. The magnitude of acceleration of an object is directly proportional to its net force and inversely proportional to its mass.

Net force, also known as unbalanced force, is the sum of all forces. Net force causes acceleration.

A force is a push or pull upon an object resulting from the object's interaction with another object.

Acceleration is defined as change of velocity over time. Acceleration is caused by net force.

Both sound and stadium wave are mechanical waves. Sound wave is a longitudinal wave and stadium wave is a transverse wave. Both mechanical wave and electromagnetic wave transfer energy and have wave characteristics, but mechanical wave can only propagate through matter, electromagnetic wave can travel through vacuum and matter.
