The art show is set for April 3rd, 5:30-7 (open house style). All are welcome! Your child(ren) is/are excited to show off all of their hard work and we are excitedly preparing to get the building ready! We will also have special musical performances throughout the evening. Do you have gently worn shoes, sandals, boots and or tennis shoes you are thinking of donating?! We would love to take those items off your hands! The Arbor View Student Council will be collecting new and or gently worn shoes to donate to the non-profit organization, "SOLES4SOLES!" ALL SIZES will be accepted! Please consider bagging up or boxing up shoes to donate during the month of April! Just drop off in the front foyer of Arbor View! We really appreciate your help! Thank you in advance! Please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100* or greater, vomiting/diarrhea, persistent cough, unknown rashes, pink eye, or in general not feeling well. This helps your child get well faster, and helps reduce the spread of germs to other students and staff.

District Reminders

Uniting students, families, educators, and the community to ensure a challenging and enriching academic environment that inspires students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Elkhorn Public Schools Policy 507.13—Internet Safety Policy was written in compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act. Tech Savvy Parent tips are intended to inform and educate parents of technology that may be available to their students. Tips may feature apps that are educational as well as those that may be a cause for concern to parents.

EPS will again host a Summer Enrichment Program, available to students in grades 1-12 for the 2020-2021 school year. The Summer Enrichment Program will be offered in three separate week-long sessions which includes June 1-5, June 8-12, and June 15-19. Course options, schedules, and registration information for the Summer Enrichment Program can be found at https://www.elkhornweb.org/programs/se/.

Tech Savvy Parent Tip - Social Media ChecklistSafer Schools Together recently published the below checklist for parents whose students utilize social media as a conversation starter and tool for on-going checking-ins.

● Have a central charging station to keep devices out of bedrooms● Set up any social accounts with your child to ensure appropriate privacy settings● Know passwords to all accounts● Regularly check privacy settings, as app updates can change them frequently● Discuss strategies of what to do if someone they don’t know approaches them online● Talk to your child about what platforms are popular and why - take a keen interest to help with open

dialogue● Discuss positive and negative uses of social media● Be mindful of and know what VAULT apps look like● Remind youth of the permanence and public nature of all things shared electronically● Ensure location services are turned off for camera and social apps● Set up and utilize Find my iPhone or Android Device Manager● Encourage youth to create a positive digital footprint as they grow older by utilizing social media
