5 Packing Tips For MovingYou Should Know

Moving is stressful, but fortunately there is a way to make it less nerve wrecking.

Proper packing is essential to a successful damage-free move. Keep in mind these easy packing tips and you should have no trouble preparing for the moving day.

So, after you supply yourself with plenty of moving boxes you should definitely remember to:

1. Use Labels

Labelling boxes might be a boring task to do if you have a large home, but it will save you a great deal of headaches later on.

When you have labels you know which boxes go where and what to start unpacking first after you arrive at your new home.

2. Use Plastic Plenty of Plastic Wrap

Plastic wrap is not expensive and can help you protect a great deal of your belongings from scratches.

You can also use it for putting in between different objects such as dishes.

3. Use A Sandwich Bag For Small Parts

You will most probably need to disassemble some of your furniture to make it fit better into the moving van.

Sandwich bags make come very handy in this case as they're transparent and small. Just put all the nails in the bag, stick it to one of the cupboard planks and off you go to the next item.

4. Take Photos Of Your Cables

This might sound silly, but you'll be able to appreciate it when the time comes to connect all your electronic devices back to how they used to be.

Unless you're a computer geek who does this every day, you'll most likely have trouble remembering which cable went where. That's why taking several photos here and there, not selfies, will help you a great deal.

6. Do Not Overfill Boxes

Try not to exceed the limit of 50 pounds for each box. Otherwise you risk the box not being able to withstand the pressure or worse getting back problems.

5. Keep A Box Of Valuables

This should include toiletries, some snacks, a first aid kit and other items you might need right after your move is over. After all, you might not be able to unpack everything the first night, that's why a such a box is necessary.
