Choosing a Mover

There is more than one way to move. Depending on the size of your home, the distance of the move, your budget, and the amount of time you have to get yourself

situated or hire any mover from the different movers in Dubai to do the job.

Use the right size boxes.

Put heavy items, like books, in small boxes; light items, like linens and pillows, in bigger ones. (Large boxes packed with heavy items are a common complaint of professional

movers. They not only make the job harder but also have a better chance of breaking.)

Put heavier items on the bottoms of boxes, lighter items on top.

And if you’re loading the truck yourself, pack heavier boxes first, toward the front of the truck, for balance.

Don’t leave empty spaces in the boxes.

Fill in gaps with clothing, towels, or packing paper. Movers often won’t move boxes that feel loosely packed

or unbalanced.

Tape boxes well. If you’re moving expensive art, ask your mover about special crating.

Use a good duct tape which repairs and fixes requiring extreme endurance for long-lasting applications.

Whether you’re repairing, installing, bundling or splicing wires.

Duct tapes or cloth tapes are strong enough to hold your boxes together, at the same time it is still very easy

to apply and easy to tear with your hands

This type of tape will ensure boxes are held together very securely for your heaviest and most valued

possessions

Select a different color tape to represent each room.  Just place that color duct tape on all the

boxes packed in that room

Avoid mixing items from different rooms in the same box.

Label each box with the room it’s destined for and a description of its contents.

Consider other items that will need special treatment like TVs

How to pack small items

For very small, loose items, either pack them in your suitcase to take with you or pack them in larger containers like a jewellery box, shoebox, or resealable plastic bag so that they stay safe and organised when packed in a larger box.

Top Moving Tip

Try not to pack in garbage bags instead of boxes. Garbage bags will rip and tear easily if they are not of the heavy duty type and will often cause more trouble

than they're worth when moving. Pack linens, clothing and towels in large garment bags instead.
