Since 1986, TVI has been offering the 5-Day Immersion course for intermediate level actors and above who reside outside Los Angeles. The course is offered six times a year. The Immersion course is a great first step to testing the waters to see what acting opportunities are in Hollywood. This trip will help you make an informed decision on whether the Los Angeles market is the place for you and your career. For International actors, you will learn the technicalities of earning an O-1 visa, and a great first step before you apply for the O-1 visa.
TVI does sponsor International actors who want to stay in the United States for up to one year. We offer a unique Hybrid Conservatory that teaches actors the educational foundation as well as the various types of vocations for the working actor. Whether you’re looking to transition into the LA Market, currently live in *Los Angeles or you’re just testing the waters, TVI guarantees you the opportunity to learn and showcase with Film, TV, and Commercial Casting Directors, Talent Agents, and Managers.
5 Days in Los Angeles in summary:
• 5 Days of intensive education - approximately 10/hrs a day • Industry guests from the most prominent talent agencies and casting offices in Los Angeles • Off-site field trip to a live TV studio tapings, with an after taping meeting with the TV stars on the series (dependent on industry schedules) • Field trip to a TV Network casting office with a seminar with the casting director on how they decide which actors to invite in for auditions. • Field trip to a talent agency, learning the operations of how agents do their job. • Field trip to a TV commercial casting agency, learning from commercial casting directors, how commercials are cast. • Master Classes with renown acting coaches and the opportunity to present your work to many of LA’s top casting directors, talent agents and managers, and in-depth conversations with every industry guest • Receive feedback and adjustments on your class performances.

HOW DO I APPLY?Prospective candidates must fill out an application. Once application has been reviewed an interview will be scheduled either in person or via a web conference.
IS THERE AN APPLICATION FEE?There is a standard application fee of $75 USD. If accepted into the program the application fee will be applied toward your tuition. If you are not accepted it will be fully refunded within 48 hours.
IS THERE AN APPLICATION DEADLINE?The program has limited space. To avoid disappoinment, we suggest to apply as early as possible.
HOW DO I RESERVE A SPACE?A five-hundred dollar deposit will secure your space. The deposit will be applied to your tuition.
AS AN INTERNATIONAL ACTOR, DO I NEED A VISA TO ATTEND?For our 5-day immersion course, a tourist visa is all you will need for most countries. TVI has an in-house immigration advisor, who is an expert on Immigration and an immigration attorney.
DO YOU OFFER A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION?TVI Actors Studio offers a Certificate of Completion for our 16–week film actors conservatory program. Resquest details on our certificate program
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?Payment plans are now available. Pay the balance due or enroll in a payment plan. Benefit of payment plans include flexible payment options no interest.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?The dress code is professional, casual and comfortable. No beachwear, tank tops or shorts for men.
DO YOU PROVIDE HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS?TVI suggests housing options via Airbnb and VRBO for the most affordable housing choices. Numerous apartments, condos and houses are within walking distance.
DO YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION?Uber and Lyft rideshare services in Los Angeles are the most economical and consistent way to get around. We highly suggest Lyft and Uber, especially for your nights out on the town. Renting from a car company is also convenient.
HOW LONG IS THE DAY?The days will vary, but you can expect to go from 10 AM to 8 PM most days.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 4 weeks prior to start date of course must be made via email or USPS mail for a full TVI Actors Studio 5-Day course credit. Credit can be applied toward a future 5 - Day course within 12 months of original course date. A $250 transfer fee will be charged.
Cancellations made 2-4 weeks prior to start date of course will be partially credited (50% of course tuition) Credit can be applied toward a future 5 – Day course within 12 months of original course date. A $250 transfer fee will be charged.
Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to start date will not be eligible for credit.
*There are no refunds for TVI Actors Studio.
