• Use existing web layers from other organizations- Ready to use in dashboards- E.g., Johns Hopkins COVID-19 county level data

• Enable updates in the Map Viewer,- For web layer(s) in the web map

- Set refresh interval

Updating your data in ArcGIS Online

• 2 methods• Upload into ArcGIS Online → create web layers

- Overwrite – recreates web layer- Append – adds data to the web layer

- Match attribute fields

- No support for schema changes

• Use ArcGIS Pro (aka. ArcGIS Desktop) export to ArcGIS Online- Republish contents to overwrite web layer- Supports minor schema changes

- Item description, sharing and configuration settings
