5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! YMCA ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN! Our Annual Giving Campaign officially kicks off on February 27! You will see many of our superstar volunteers and staff out talking with members and our community about the YMCA and requesting pledges of financial support. Funds raised support our Open Doors Program, which provides YMCA membership financial assistance for those in need. The campaign also supports many of our youth programs including Child Care, Summer Camp, Youth Sports, Swim Lessons, Youth Theatre, and Backpack Weekend Food Program. You can pledge a gift of any amount to the campaign at your branch or donate online at www.ymcaocc.org . Special FUNdraisers You’ve probably seen a variety of fun additional ways you can support your Y. The following are two of our larger such events, but be on the lookout at your branch for additional fun opportunities. Silent Auctions Penns Valley YMCA: March 9-17 Bellefonte YMCA: March 17-24 State College YMCA: March 19-21 Moshannon Valley YMCA: April 2-5 Open to the public—held in the lobby of the YMCAs. Wednesday, April 11 at ALL Branches Staff, Volunteers, and members will be biking (or some form of exercising) to raise money to provide scholarships to send children to YMCA Summer Day Camp. Contact your branch to sign up for a FUNdraising shift if you would like to be part of the fun! You can also sponsor a FUNdraiser or contribute the day of event. SUMMER DAY CAMP
