Curriculum

Alphabet  Box:  New  Date:  Please  bring  your  Letter  L  Alphabet  Box  to  school  on  Wednesday,  2/13.  

Reading:  This  week  we  will  continue  The  Nightingale  curriculum  unit.    

Religion:  Our  Religion  lesson  this  week  will  focus  on  Valentine’s  Day  and  celebrating  the  love  we  have  for  our  family  and  friends..  

Second  Step:  This  week  we  will  learn  about  Managing  Disappointment.    The  children  will  learn  how  to  calm  down  by  belly  breathing.    It  is  important  for  children  to  understand  that  they  can’t  always  have  what  they  want  and  to  give  them  the  tools  to  manage  their  emotions.    Magazine Sale

You  received  your  Magazine  Sale  packet  last  week.    This  is  a  fantastic  fundraiser  for  our  school  and  your  family  since  you  get  fundraising  credit  for  40%  of  all  your  sales!  Our  Magazine  Sale  will  run  until  2/22.      Go  to  the  St.  Luke  homepage  for  more  information.   Valentine’s Day Celebration Our  classroom  Valentine’s  Day  celebration  is  on  Thursday  2/14.    Please  send  in  a  decorated  box  or  bag  for  your  child  to  collect  the  Valentine  cards  they  will  receive  from  their  friends.     Box Top Contest The  Box  Top  contest  is  running  until  2/14.    Please  send  in  your  Box  Tops  –  the  class  with  the  most  Box  Tops  will  earn  a  Jamba  Juice  treat  and  a  Free  Dress  day.
