Thursday 5/7: Home AssignmentsThese activities should be completed on the Seesaw App. If you are unable to access this app, please complete these activities using the My Fundations Journal previously sent home. Fundations: 10 minutes1) Drill-Sound Warmup - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at each sound card below. Students should practice, saying the letters, keyword, and sound for each. Example: au, August /au/

2) Word of the Day- Assigned on Seesaw or first, have students say the word globe. Notice it has a vowel constant vowel v-e. The word globe is marked this way. In their Fundations Journals, students should write the Word of the Day: globe. Then, write a sentence using the word.

Mr. Putter and Tabby Drop the Ball- Make & Check Predictions/ALL Characters

Assigned on Seesaw. If Seesaw is unavailable, use the YouTube link below to watch and follow along with Chapter 4 of Mr. Putter and Tabby Drop the Ball. Pay attention to all of the characters. How do they feel? What are they thinking?

Remember, the best way to convince people is to give them reasons that support your opinion. When you want to convince your readers, it is important to not only state your opinion but give lots of reasons and examples. *Here's a tip: when you want to say more about a reason for your opinion, it helps to say, “I think that because...” or “For example. . .” You also want to include a clear conclusion at the end, restating your opinion. Remember to refer to your word wall for correct spelling, and check your work over for accuracy and completion before sending.

Math: 30 minutes

1) 10-3: Add 10s and 1s using a Hundred Chart – Assigned on Seesaw. Today, you will be learning more about adding 10s and 1s using a hundred chart. This information is detailed in the 4 boxes along the top of image A, below. Then, in your Fundations Journal, please complete #6, #9, #12, & #16 from image B below, by using the chart to solve the equations in your journal. Looking for a challenge… try #18, as well!

2) Exit Ticket 10-3: 100s Chart – Missing Numbers – Assigned on SeesawUse image below write in the missing numbers OR copy the chart into your Fundations Journal and fill in the missing numbers. If you can, try to find a pattern on the number chart and explain in writing or to a family member what the pattern is!

3) Practice Math Facts using Xtra Math, Freckle, or Happy Numbers.
