TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR PIPELINE CURRENT/DEFECT MAPPER

1. Construction: High Impact thermoplastic weatherproof complying to NEMA 3R/4

and IP54/55.

2. Ruggedness: To withstand 1 m (3 ft) drop onto concrete.

3. Locating Mode: frequencies - 98 Hz, 128 Hz, 512 Hz and 640 Hz and there should

be Power and CPS Mode also.

4. Locate Accuracy: +-5% of depth.

Locate Current Accuracy: +-5% of actual current.

Depth Accuracy: +-5% of depth on undistorted signal with no adjacent signals.

Depth Range: 8m (25 ft)

5. Current Mapping : Able to accurately measure the near dc ( 3 or 4Hz) signal

(Including direction) applied by the PCM/PDM Transmitter. Measurements can be

logged for later evaluation. The pipeline alignment is also to be displayed.

6. Visual Indication : Two section Liquid Crystal Display indicating the following :

7. Data Logging: Storage for 1000 entries with log number, depth, current and

direction. Facility to review logged data.

8. Upload: Data log uploadable to a pc. Windows PC software to be provided. Upload

file to be compatible with most spreadsheets.

9. Audio Indication: Inbuild speakers or head phones

10. Search Antennas : 2 x symmetrical response for Peak Operation

11. Gain Control: Via keypad auto and manual.

12. Attachment: Should contain Flux-gate magnetometer for near do measurements

and storage media for data logging.

13. Batteries: Rechargeable 12 x LR6 (AA) 1.5V alkaline. 20 hours life, nominal @ 20deg

c (68deg F) with charger or additional batteries with charger to meet the

requirement.

14. Operating Temperature Range: -20deg c to +50deg c (-4deg f to +122deg f).

18. Training to be provided to HPCL employee at HPCL office on the operating

payable to the party for the same.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Supply of PCM/ PDM as per Technical specifications as mentioned in Attachment

II-Technical specifications.

Delivery will be in the scope of Party to Address as below:

Party has to take additional precautions for Transportation.

2. Party should unpack the material at site and successfully demonstrate the

equipment.

3. Provide training to HPCL employee at HPCL office on the operating procedure at

Raman Mandi Dispatch Station, Bathinda.

4. Material to be delivered only during the HPCL office working time.

SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Party has to observe and implement all the rules, regulations and norms as

applicable in HPCL premises.

2. This contract is for supply of PCM/ PDM including all requisite accessories.

3. Any nominal skilled or unskilled labour as well as tools, tackles required by service

representative or specialized skilled manpower and special tools will have to be

arranged by the party.

4. While carrying out the unpacking and demonstration job, care should be taken to

avoid damage or loss to HPCL’s property. All such damages or losses will be made

good by the party.

5. Party should abide by all safety and security regulations and other statutory rules

applicable.

6. Delivery Period: - Party should deliver the PCM/PDM within 3 months from the date

P.O. or Fax of intent.

7. Liquidity damages: In case of delayed delivery / completion of job beyond the

stipulated period, liquidity damages @0.5% per week delay or part thereof subject

to maximum 5% of PO (Basic Value) will be applicable.

8. Party should give the warranty card mentioning the terms of warranty clearly.

Warranty period should be 18 months from the date of delivery or 12 months from

the date of demonstration which ever is earlier.

9. Party should provide after sale servicing details in India.

10. Payment terms- 90% payment will be released within 15 days on receipt of certified

bill along with following documents at Finance dept, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, GGSRPEP Office, 8th Floor, Scope Minar, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi – 110092 a. Delivery challan duly acknowledged by HPCL.

b. Performance bank guarantee for 10 % amount valid for warranty period as

per manufacturer warrant policy. PBG shall be in favour of HPCL and shall be of

any scheduled bank other than Cooperative bank. Incase of non submission of

PBG 10 % amount will be retained and released only upon completion of warranty

period.

Rest 10% will be released only after successful demonstration and training of the

PCM/PDM at our site on submission of demonstration and training report duly

certified by HPCL Officer-in-charge at our site.
