General Manager’s Message Dear Members: The pool season has gone well considering the restrictions we have in place. Please remember to make reservations for the 4th of July as we are restricted by the number of members we can have in the water and on the pool deck. You can reserve time slots as follows: 10-noon, 1-5 or 6-8. The pool is closed from noon-1 and 5-6 for cleaning and disinfecting. We have close to 60 players for the 4th of July tournament and a good number doing the picnic baskets. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate, and we will have a lovely day to be outside. There will be no fireworks this year sponsored by the Village of Cedar Rock. No municipalities are doing fireworks this year due to the virus. Next year!!! We will be hosting the final round of the Caldwell County Amateur on Sunday, July 19. Lenoir Golf Club will play host to the 1st two rounds on Friday and Saturday. Membership sales are ticking up as we've had so many more folks come out to play the course during the pandemic. We're adding new members each week especially in the non-resident cate-gory. People are seeing what a hidden gem we have here! We will be hosting a 1st class amateur golf event, the Western North Carolina Amateur, over Au-gust 13-15. The field will be limited to the 1st 100 players with a 2 handicap or less. A cut will be made to the low 40 and ties after the 1st two rounds. Some of the finest amateur golfers from around the state and region will be competing. We anticipate an excellent field of college players also. As we start to inch back into social functions and dinners,we will keep you posted. Hopefully, we will be on the other side of the virus soon and life returns to some sense of normalcy. We've had a good response on the 4th of July Picnic Baskets, and Thursday night dining and pick-ups continue with good numbers. We are starting to re-schedule weddings, receptions and parties for the fall and winter which is encouraging. Thanks for your support, and let me know if you have any sug-gestions for dinners or themes. John Deschler Executive Chef, CIA Grad

Hello Members,
I would first like to congratulate our Tri-level team on our first
team victory of the summer. Great job, ladies!
This month we will be hosting a tennis clinic every other Thurs-
day at 6:30PM. The price of the clinic will be $10 and will last an
hour and a half. If you are interested in participating, please let
me know.
Due to Covid 19, we will not be hosting any mixers this month but
hope to have the first one by the end of August. If you are inter-
ested in taking lessons, feel free to contact me anytime to get on
the schedule. Please note that morning slots fill up fast so make
sure to schedule as far in advance as possible!
Thanks

Superintendent’s Message
Summer is here and so are the hot afternoons. With the tempera-
tures in the 90’s more frequently, we will slightly raise the mow-
ing height on the greens. This slight increase will help the plant
hold a little more moisture and provide more surface area to help
it deal with these high temperatures. With the increased tempera-
tures, we will have to syringe the greens in the afternoon to cool
them down. Please, be patient while we do this. It doesn’t take
long, and they all have to be done.
Have a happy 4th of July.
