STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Dr. ManoharLal Sharma, ex Ministerand senior Congress leaderwhile addressing massgathering at DarungBillawar, expressed hisanger and deep concern onthe irresponsible statementissued by Dr NirmalKumar Singh. It is note-worthy here that DrNirmal singh quotedrecently that Indian armyis harassing civilians in thestate. Dr Sharma stronglycondemned Singh's andquestioned the credibilityof such statements. He saidthat Indian Army is one ofthe best defence forces ofthe world and has servedthe nation not only in situ-ations of internal or exter-nal threat but also spear-head relief and rescueoperations in naturalcalamities.

it's only owing to defenceforces that situation is heldunder control. Heexpressed dismay thatinstead of expressing grati-tude for the services andextreme sacrifice of forcessuch derogatory statementsof BJP leaders expose theirfake nationalist ideologyand should be opposed byevery section of society.
Dr Sharma further addedthat the building issue onwhich this controversialstatement is issued must beinvestigated by State
Agencies and it must beensured that no compro-mise with the security ofarmy shall be made underany circumstances.
Dr Sharma expressed sur-prise on the dead silence ofCentral BJP on this state-ment, that has not only tar-nished pseudo nationalistpropoganda of BJP butalso demoralised themorale of army. He saidCentral BJP shall clear it'sstand on this and must takestrict disciplinary action toprevent any such mislead-
ing statements by BJPState leaders in comingfuture.

Sumeet Magotra helda protest against the for-mer Dy Chief MinisterNirmal Singh for givingbogus statement againstthe army. Protestors alsoburnt the effigy of formerDy CM. While addressingthe protesters, Magotrasaid that Nirmal Singhinstead of appreciating therole of army in Kashmirbent on criticising andblaming army for his per-sonal petty interest. Hesaid Singh has lost his men-tal balance and issued suchsilly statements against thearmy which are unaccept-able. He demanded thatSingh should be immediate-ly dropped from his positionand an enquiry should beconducted against him.

STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: DistrictAdministration organised aseries of meetings atMangota, Danna Churrang,Rajdhani and Sorha-Behrote for redressal ofpublic grievances and devel-opmental works in whichthousands of people from adozen Panchayats partici-pated.

A number of public issuesand demands were dis-cussed in these public meet-ings. Speakers in the meet-ings presented a charter ofdemands for development of
respective areas and furtherexpansion of services andamenities being provided bythe government. Based onthe public demands andfeedback several decisionswere taken for developmentof facilities.
At Mangota, developmentof approach road for HighSchool, survey of road fromOld Thanamandi toMangota, repair of Healthsub-centre, installation ofhand pumps, creation of 3power distribution centres,
community hall and sani-tary complex at Ziarat BabaZakri Shah, Tractor road toSajji Bagla, development oftourism facilities, openingof vocational centre forwomen and other worksprojected by the public werefinalised.
The DDC while addressedthe gathering informed theState Government is com-mitted to redressal of publicgrievances and delivery ofservices at doorsteps owingto which a massive outreach
programme has been con-ducted by the districtadministration for develop-ment planning. He assuredthe public that all the devel-opmental demands project-ed will be completed in stip-ulated time. Several deputa-tions also met the DDC onway.
At Rajdhani, large numberof people from Panchayatsof Rajdhani A & B andMajhoor attended the meet-ing and presented demandsrelated to up gradation ofroads, link roads and watersupply. The DDC and sec-toral officers briefed thepublic about timeline androadmap for redressal oftheir grievances. Similarmeeting was held at Sorah-behrote where a number ofdevelopmental works andpublic issues were discussedand decisions were taken. Alarge gathering at Sorah-Behrote appreciated theGovernment for this out-reach programme andprompt redressal of griev-ances and demands.

"Despite the highhanded-ness and discrimination bythe ruling parties they willnever succeed to stop peoplefrom raising their headsagainst the wrong policies ofthe Govt," he said and point-ed out that Jammu andKashmir was a symbol ofunity and multiplicity, butsince the PDP BJP assumedpower, things started wors-ening and attempts weremade to pollute the secular
fabric and unity in the State."But the people of the Statebeing wise enough realizedthat conspiracies were beinghatched to divide people onregional lines. I am confidentthat people in all the threeregions will continue to fightfor peace, progress anddevelopment," Sarooriadded. STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: Extendingtheir helping hand to the mostneedy section of the society,J&K Yateem Foundation underWidow Welfare Programme(WWP), distributed ration andother grocery items among 82widows prior to the holy monthof Ramazan at Bhadarwah onSunday.
A Pre-Ramdhan function wasorganised by J&K YateemFoundation at Bhadarwahheadquarter located at QillaMohallah in which a large num-ber of guests, donors, volunteersand destitute participated. Theproragmme was presided by thedistrict representative of theorganisation Showket HayatMalik while Tehsildar
Bhadarwah Masood Ahmedwas the Chief Guest.
The programme startedwith the recitation of verses ofHoly Quran by GeneralSecretary of the organisationIrshad Ahmed Rangrez fol-lowed by speeches by the volun-teers and donors.
Speakers while appreciatingthe concrete steps of J&KYateem Foundation, theyemphasised the need to work forthe welfare of widows, orphans,patients and other destitute sothat they may share the happi-ness and blessings of Holymonth of Ramadhan.
On this occasion, the relief inthe form of ration kits contain-ing food items and other groceryitems were distributed among
82 widows belonging to poorfamilies.
"We started with a humbledonation of just Rs 25,000 in2006 and today we receive 12lacs from the donors ofBhadarwah alone, which is veryencouraging. We get donationsfrom both Muslims and NonMuslim and like-wise beneficiar-ies are also from both communi-ties," said general secretary ofthe organisation Irshad AhmedRangrez.
"Under our WWP, we usual-ly transfer the money inaccounts of the beneficiaries butin addition to that, today we aredistributing ration and othergrocery items among 82 widowsespecially for the holly month ofRamadan and before Eid, wewill again distribute therequired stuff among them,"Rangrez added.
Prominent among thosewho were present during thefunction include DistrictRepresentative Showket HayatMalik, Tehsil representativeJaved Iqbal Qazi, deputy TRSajad S Sarmadi, Riaz Khan,Abdul Hafeez Khateeb andZakir Shapoo.

Two boys taken into preventive custodySTATE TIMES NEWS
RAJOURI: Two boys have been taken into preventive custody
by Rajouri Police after they were found involved in unlawful
activities in the area. Order for their detention in preventive
custody was issued by Executive Magistrate.
They include Mohd Amir son of Mohd Sharif resident of
Ward No 02 Rajouri and Garish Sharma son of Kundan Lal
resident of Ward No 06 Rajouri. Duo were found involved in
drugs peddling and have been taken in preventive custody and
lodged in District Central Jail.
Teenager commits suicide STATE TIMES NEWS
UDHAMPUR: A teenager girl found hanging at her house vil-
lage Pathi in Udhampur. According to a report, 14 years
Makhna Devi daughter of Luder Mani resident of village Pathi
in Udhampur found hanging with hook of the ceiling. On see-
ing her hanging, her family members shifted her to District
Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police handed over her body to family after conducting the
autopsy and registered a case for investigation.

UDHAMPUR: A youth identified as Mohd Akram son of
Ashaq Ali resident of Gahri in Udhampur is missing for the
last three days. Uncle of missing boy lodged a report with
Police Station Rehmble after the youth didn't turned back to
home. Acting over missing report, police flashed messages to
all Concerned Police Station and Police Post but till filling last
report police could not get any lead in the case.

NOWSHERA: Two passengers were seriously injured when
the Tempo Traveller in which they were travelling overturned
near village Thalka on Sunday.

village Thalka when the driver lost its control. Two passengers
including Mohd Aslam (47), son of Mir Mohd and Mir Mohd,
son of Sorya, residents of village Dinour, Rajouri were seri-
ously injured and were shifted to Sub District Hospital
Nowshera.
Girl injured in mishapSTATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: A 16 years old girl identified as Rimpy Devi,
daughter of Teju Ram, resident of Katal Batal, Nagrota was
seriously injured when a rashly driven Innova Car hit her on
Sidhra By-pass road on Sunday.
The girl was immediately shifted to Government Medical
College Hospital Jammu in unconscious condition. According
to doctors, her condition was serious and she is under treat-
ment in ICU.
The Sidhra Police rushed to the spot and seized the Innova
car bearing registration No JK02AU-5010 while its driver
managed to flee. The car was coming from Narwal side and
was heading towards Nagrota. Police have registered a case
vide FIR 112/18 and launched manhunt to arrest the driver.
