These grilles are fabricated employing quality
materials and finishes, and have been engineered toenhance the
look of your vehicle for the duration of its life.Proper
installation is essential to your overall satisfaction, soplease
read these instructions before attempting to install thegrilles.
Exercise patience; these instructions are intended toassist even
the most mechanically challenged.
Remember, if you are not 100% satisfied with our product,simply
return the set to us (or to the retailer if you did notpurchase
directly through Figure) within 30 days of purchasefor a complete
refund.

Mazda 3s Grille Installation
1) REMOVAL OF STOCK GRILLES
1.1) Remove the lower center gril le. There are 11retaining tabs
around the perimeter of the grille, asshown in Fig. 1. Open the
hood. Reach behind thebumper from the top, and use a finger to
depress thetabs (shown in Fig. 2) towards the opening side of
thebumper and press outward on the grille from the back.
The tab should slide through the slot. Free all tabsand remove
the grille through the front.

1.2) Remove the lower side gri lles. There are 4
retaining tabs around the perimeter of the grille, asshown in
Fig. 3. Push in on the lower side grillesfrom the front at the four
tab locations, and the grilleswill pop out towards the rear.

1.3) Remove Remove the upper gril le. Pop your hoodand remove
the two Phillips head screws on eachcorner of the upper grille.
There are also 4 clipsaround the lower perimeter of the grille.
Press down
on these clips and pull the grille away from thevehicle.

2. LOWER CENTER GRILLE INSTALLATION
2.3) Insert the lower center gri lle into the gri lle
opening. Reach through the upper grille opening,and LOOSELY
install nylon ties through each of theslotted bumper tabs and the
outermost loop on thegrille closest to the tab. Once you are
satisfied withalignment, fully tighten the ties. Cut the tie tails
withthe snips.
3. LOWER SIDE GRILLE INSTALLATION
3.1) Drill holes in retaining tabs on the bumper. Drill a1/8
hole in the center of the retaining tabs at thelocations shown in
Fig. 3. Use a pair of wide-head

pliers to gently bend the tabs outwards. This servestwo
purposes: 1) it allows easier access to the tabs,which is helpful
in preventing scratches from drillcontact, and 2) the pliers can be
used as a guide for
starting the hole, so the drill bit cannot walk off thetab. This
technique is shown in Fig. 4. The edge ofthe hole should touch the
retaining lip of the tab.

3.2) Remove three screws from the vehicle underbodyon each side.
In order to install the side grilles, youwill need to access behind
the grille area. Remove
the three screws shown in Fig. 5. Note: More thanthree screws
secure the piece, but it is not necessaryto remove them.

3.3) Insert the lower side gril le into the gril le
opening.Reach through the bottom of the vehicle, andLOOSELY install
nylon ties through each of the drilledtabs and the outermost loop
on the grille closest tothe tab. Once you are satisfied with
alignment, fullytighten the ties. Cut the tie tails with the
snips.
4. UPPER GRILLE INSTALLATION
4.1) Install the upper grille by first making sure the fourtabs
are in the respective tab openings, and thensecure using the
Phillips head screws.
4.2) Drill holes in the locations indicated in Figure 6.
These holes are from the lip, and are 1/8 indiameter. To be sure
of the exact location of theseholes, place the grille in the frame
and then mark thelocations where they will allow a nylon tie to
passthrough to the outer loop on the grille.

5. INSTALL REMOVED COMPONENTS
5.1) Reinstall the three screws on each side of
theunderbody.
