Tournament Schedule
Rules & Regulations:
System of Play: The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 8 rounds.
Time-Control: 90 minutes each + 30 seconds increment per move from move no.1
Tie Break: Buchholz tie-break system will be applied. In case of tie, prizes will not be shared.
APCA Registration: APCA registration for 2018-19 is compulsory for all Andhra Pradesh participants. The registration fee of Rs.100/- will be accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players.
AICF Registration: The participants are informed that AICF Players registration is mandatory and it should be done well before participating in any tournament. From September, 2017 all registrations by players will be accepted only through online. For renewal of AICF registration of existing players, Please see the link http://aicf.in/aicf-payments/ and for the new players AICF registration please see the link http://aicf.in/online-player-registration/
Note: Only Passport size (less then 1MB) photo graph in JPG format should be uploaded.
Protests: If any is to be given in writing within 15 minutes of the occurrence, with a fee of Rs.1,000/- which will be refunded if the protest is upheld by the appeals committee.
Entry Fees: Entry fees for all the players Rs.1300/- before 9th August 2018. Late Fee Rs.250/- applicable for entries received from 10th to 11th August 2018. 50% concession for Physically Challenged players.
Please Note: No Spot Entries entertained.
Note: The players falling under the ‘Veteran’ category (Born before 1.1.1957) shall be required to submit their birth certificate while submitting their entries.
Accommodation, Food and Lodging: Players have to make their own arrangements. The organizers, on request, shall assist in finding a suitable accommodation.
Canteen Available for Tiffin, Lunch and Dinner at College premises.

Visakhapatnam tourist places
RK Beach The Rama Krishna Beach, or RK Beach as it is commonly called, is one of the best known
beaches and tourist spots in Vizag, attracting a large number of visitors. Swimming, sunbathing and beach volleyball are popular activities on the beach. An aquarium, the Kali temple, the Visakha Museum and roadside restaurants offering seafood are other attractions.
Kailasagiri Kailasagiri is a hilltop park in the city of. The park was developed by the Visakhapatnam Urban
Development Authority (VUDA) and comprises 380 acres (150 ha) of land covered with flora and tropical trees. The hill, at 173 metres (568 ft), overlooks the city of Visakhapatnam.
Vuda Park VUDA Park (officially Taraka Rama Sagara Teera Aaramam) is an urban park located near Ramakrishna Mission Beach in
Visakhapatnam. The park is named after the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at the time of its establishment, N T Rama Rao. It is operated by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA).
Simhachalam Temple The Shri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha temple, Simhachalam is a South Indian
Hindu temple situated on the Simhachalam hill, which is 800 metres above the sea level at a distance of ten miles to the north of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is dedicated to one of the Hindu trinity deities Vishnu, who is worshipped there as Varaha Narasimha.
Sri Kanaka Maha Laxmi Temple Sri Kanaka Maha Lakshmi is the presiding deity of Visakhapatnam locals. The temple is located in Burujupeta
of Visakhapatnam city.
Araku Valley At a distance of 112 km from Vizag, Araku Valley, popularly known as Araku, is a scenic hill
station in the Vishakhapatnam district. Often referred to as Andhra Ooty, it is one of the most famous places to experience.
Bheemili Beach Bheemili Beach is located at the origin of the Gosthani River, at a distance of 24 km from
Visakhapatnam in Visakhapatnam district. The beach reflects the British and Dutch settlements.
Submarine Museum INS Kursura (S20) was a Kalvari-class diesel-electric submarine of the Indian Navy. She was
India's fifth submarine. Kursura was commissioned on 18 December 1969 and was decommissioned on 27 February 2001 after 31 years of service.
Indira Gandhi Zoo Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is located amidst Kambalakonda Reserve Forest in
Visakhapatnam. It is the third largest zoo in the country. It is surrounded by the Eastern Ghats on three sides and Bay of Bengal on the fourth side. Nearly eighty species of animals numbering to about eight hundred are present in the zoo. The Zoo Park has different sections for primates, carnivores, lesser carnivores, small mammals, reptiles, ungulates and birds caged in their natural ambiance.
Thotlakonda Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex is situated on a hill near Bheemunipatnam about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from
Visakhapatnam. The hill is about 128 metres (420 ft) above sea level and overlooks the sea. The Telugu name Toṭlakoṇḍa derived from the presence of a number of rock-cut cisterns hewn into the bedrock of the hillock.
Rushikonda Beach Rushikonda Beach is located in Visakhapatnam on the coast of Bay of Bengal in the Indian state
of Andhra Pradesh. The beach is maintained by the state tourism board, APTDC.
Yarada Beach Yarada Beach is situated on the west coast of Bay of Bengal in Yarada, a village at a distance of 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from
Visakhapatnam. It is located near Gangavaram beach, Dolphin's Nose, and Gangavaram Port.
Devi Puram Devipuram's primary focus is the Sri Meru Nilayam , a unique three-dimensional projection of
the sacred Hindu yantra known as Sri Chakra, which is central to Sri Vidya Upasana (an ancient and intricate form of Tantric Shakta worship). Measuring 108ft by 108 ft and 54 ft in height, the Sri Meru Nilayam is the only Sri Yantra in the world that one can actually walk into! This is the abode of Sri Sri Sri Sahasrakshi Raja Rajeswari Devi, the Moola Virat.
Borra Caves The Borra Caves, also called Borra Guhalu, are located on the East Coast of India, in the Ananthagiri hills of the Araku
Valley of the Visakhapatnam district. The caves, one of the largest in the country, at an elevation of about 705 m (2,313 ft), distinctly exhibit a variety of speleothems ranging in size and irregularly shaped stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are basically karstic limestone structures extending to a depth of 80 m (260 ft), and are considered the deepest caves in India.
Thenneti Park Tenneti Park also known as (Vuda Tenneti Park) is an Urban park in the city of
Visakhapatnam. Situated on the Beach Road in Jodugullapalem, it the first children’s park, and one of the oldest parks in the city. It is located beside Sea Shore of Bay of Bengal. GVMC installed LED screens in the park to boost Tourism in the city.
