Dear Parents and Carers

Well, the weeks certainly are flying by now! It has been wonderful to see more pupils back

in school and we hope this has been positive for them. We know it is a bit different, but hope

that it has still been nice for them to reconnect with each other, the staff and the school.

As I write this, we have just received the guidance for schools for September opening. This

guidance we are currently reviewing and adapting our plans, so we can be ready to share

these with you next week.

We are also currently working with an external provider regarding summer activities/ sports

clubs, so again watch this space for more details on that. We are not going to run any

summer ‘catch up,’ we want you all to have fun together, play and relax without the pressure

of additional learning. If we do receive any additional actual ’Catch Up’ funding, then we will

use that for our September provision.

At present, schools have no details on how much the ‘Catch Up’ funding might be, so no

details can be shared yet. We have plans for how we would use this based on sound

research on positive impact for pupils, but again, we need to have the final information from

government before we can act upon this.

Take care, stay safe and well. Mrs Naomi Philp
