Software support to pulp & paper sector
Background:Pulp and Paper sector being a large energy consumed sectors, it has been decided that Pulp and
paper sector would be provided with energy consumption norms to help in reducing energy
consumption. Software has been developed for assessing the energy consumption by the paper mills.
The mills can also compare the energy consumption with their earlier data.
Software for Energy consumption assessment in Pulp & Paper mills:Software has been designed and developed to assess the energy consumption of a specific paper mill
and stores the data in a database for further analysis. Based on the data, software generates the
classification and other details. The data is kept confidential and allows through User ID and
Password.
Software objectives:- Assess the energy consumption (Thermal, Electrical and Water) for the mills.
- Generate identification code for proper classification of mills for comparative analysis.
- Compare the mills energy consumption with the Industry average
- Self assessment for improvements in the mills energy consumption.
- Classification of mills w.r.t. their energy consumption into Gold/ Silver/ Bronze/ Tin
