The purpose of the Salvatorian is to strengthen, to defend and to spread the Catholic faith everywhere insofar as this is committed to it by Divine Providence. Therefore, by exercising this ecclesiastical teaching function in word and writing, it intends to achieve the end that all people might know more and more the one true God and Him whom He sent, Jesus Christ.

January 1 The Solemnity of Mary, the

Holy Mother of God is a feast day of the Blessed Virgin

Mary under the aspect of her motherhood of Jesus Christ, whom Christians see as the

Lord, Son of God. It is celebrated by the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church on 1

January, the Octave (8th) day of Christmastide.

O God, who through the fruitful virginity of Blessed Mary bestowed on the human race

the grace of eternal salvation; grant, we pray, that we may experience the intercession of her, through whom we were found worthy to receive the author of life,

our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Łukasza mówi, iż Chrystus poleca swoim 72 uczniom, aby szli "do każdego miasta i miejscowości, dokąd sam przyjść miał".
