Hotel Information
Our room block runs Wednesday, September 16 through Sat-urday, September 29 with the option of staying 3 days pre or post at our conference rate of $149 per night. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel direct at 866-505-7828 and asked to be connected to reservations.
To receive the group rate, you must state that you would like to be placed within the “Combined Council of Americas Cred-it Unions” block of rooms, or you may refer to the Block Code 1809CC. Reservations can also be via the link on our website’s home page. www.ccacu.com. Parking is complimentary and guest rooms, some with private balconies and views of the Sandia Mountains, include free WiFi, Keurig brewer, refrigerator, in room massage, and more.
Guest Registration Fees
We encourage you to bring your spouse/guest to share in the fun and excitement of Albuquerque! Registration is $350 and includes all meals and events.
Dress
Dress is business casual throughout the conference. Meeting rooms can get chilly and take time to warm up so a light sweater or jacket is recommended.
Cancellation Policy
50% of registration fee per registrant will be refunded if cancellation is received before Aug 1, 2018. 25% of registration fee per registrant will be refunded if cancellation received between August 2 and August 15. No refunds will be given after August 15, 2018 however, substitutions can be made.
Transportation
The Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (ABQ) is located 7 miles from Hotel Albuquerque. Taxi, Uber, Lyft and ABQ-ride are available. Please visit their website at www.abqsunport.com for more information.
CCACU Giving Back Children’s Miracle Network
Luncheon and Raffle Friday, September 28, 2018
The Children’s Miracle Network partners with hospitals across North America to provide compassionate care to children and their families. A premier event of our conference is a fundraiser to help CMN in its mission to touch the lives of children and their families. Since forging its relationship with CMN, CCACU has raised nearly $100,000 in support of this important effort. Together, through cash donations, we can meet our 2018 donation goal of $5,000. A small portion of the donated amount is used to purchase items that are raffled off at our CMN Luncheon. Raffle tickets are SOLD to anyone who would like a chance to win one of the terrific prizes. We will also have our popular “Share the Pot” raffle.

“S” IN THE CAMELs RATING/CECIL RULE/BANK SECRECY ACT TRAINING Dan Mahalak is
the President & Managing Partner of Cindrich, Mahalak & Co., P.C., a CPA firm specializing
in the credit union industry. He joined the firm in 1980 upon graduating from Eastern
Michigan University and became a partner in 1988. He is a certified public accountant
and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and
the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
IMPACT OF FASTER PAYMENTS Keith Riddle is Corporate One’s EVP, Enterprise Solutions Development. Keith is responsible for new product development and management of Corporate One’s enterprise innovation framework. Keith has more than 30 years of finan-cial services experience in new product development, partnership management, direct sales, strategic planning, and marketing. He also possesses in-depth knowledge of digital technologies, payment processing platforms, and managed solutions offerings.
Speakers
KEYNOTE Gene Marks is a columnist, author and small business owner. He owns and
operates the Marks Group PC, a highly successful ten-person firm that provides technology
and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses. As a columnist, he writes
daily for the Washington Post and weekly for Forbes, Fortune, Fox Business, Inc. Magazine,
Entrepreneur and the Huffington Post. He also appears on Fox News, MSNBC and CNBC
discussing matters affecting the business community.
DIGITAL WALLET STRATEGY Dr. Arthur (Art) Harper is the Director of Solutions Consulting
at PSCU. Leading the EMV initiative at the company that is certified and was the first to
issue debit EMV in the credit union market, he has reached and educated thousands of
people through internal and external webinars, EMV roadshows and one-on-one meetings.
Prior to joining PSCU, Art served as Vice President of Electronic Services at South Carolina
Federal Credit Union for 15 years. He is regarded as a leader in EMV migration movement
not only for PSCU, but for the US payments industry. An active member of the US
Payments Alliance which was formerly known as the EMV Migration Forum and the Federal
Reserve Faster Payments Council, Art has been sought out for in articles in numerous publi-
cations to include Credit Union Times, CU Tech Talk, and Payment Journal regarding EMV.
VENDOR MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE GOVERNANCES AND BEST PRACTICES/A NEW LOOK AT CYBER SECURITY Bryan Fury joined Corporate One in 2005. He is responsible for providing Corporate One’s senior management team with guidance on IT security and IT risk. His primary duties include Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Vendor Management and Business Continuity Planning. Bryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University and a master’s degree from Rob-ert Morris University. His is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control and a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP).

RISKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERNAL CONTROLS Bob Bouvier is a risk management consultant in
Business Protection Risk Management for CUNA Mutual Group. In this role he is responsible for as-
sisting credit unions in identifying areas of risk in their operations and recommending appropriate
controls to reduce loss exposures. Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from
Fitchburg State University. He holds the designations of Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Credit
Union Executive (CCUE), Certified Financial Service Auditor (CFSA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and
Credit Union Security & Fraud Expert (CUSFE).
THE FIVE MOST IMPORTANT WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE Ron Brown is the President and CEO
of CSI Group in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one of the oldest and largest Asset Recovery Investigation
Agencies in the Central Plains area. Nationally recognized as one of the key instructors of the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and HIPAA, Ron has
written many published articles on these ever-changing federal laws and continues to conduct seminars
related to them as well as developing the asset recovery industry accepted compliance documents for
Eagle Group XX which include the Field Agent Compliance Training (FACT), the Support Employee
Compliance Training (SECT) and most recently the highly praised (SACAT) Situational Awareness and
Confrontational Avoidance Techniques.
MAMA TOLD ME THERE’D BE DAYS LIKE THIS Mark Mayfield is known as “The Corporate Comedian”, he has merged together his corporate background as a lobbyist and his comedy background as a night-club performer to create an extremely unique and comedic presentation style. Mark is author of the popular book, Mom’s Rules, a comedic yet poignant look at those things Mom said to us as kids, and has received the “Certified Speaking Professional” designation from the National Speakers Associa-tion. He has also been inducted into their “CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame”. From comedy shows to semi-nars, Mark’s philosophy is simple.....say it with humor and people will take the message home.
