I am always driven to maximise my own potential and strive for perfection. These abilities have enabled me to play Rugby Union at a professional level. I have always been a hugely committed person and an organised and disciplined employee, who recognises the need for punctuality and reliability; virtues I have gained through complying with disciplined weekly Rugby schedules. I am mentally tough person, who revels in a team environment, with the ability to demonstrate leadership skills. I am also capable of coping with the demands of pressure. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY Teacher of Physical Education, Hereford Sixth Form College Aug 12 – April 16 During my time at HSFC I have delivered A-level Physical Education, BTEC Level 3 Sport and Exercise Science units, Strength and Conditioning level 1 coaching courses, Community Sports Leaders qualifications and Education for Life (including units such as sex education, equality & diversity, internet safety, environmental sustainability and personal finance). In addition to my teaching I am head coach of the Rugby Academy who train/compete four times per week. The team are currently AoC Midlands Colleges league champions for the third consecutive year and I have taken two teams to Natwest Vase Midlands finals twice. We toured KwaZulu-Natal (April 2015) competing in a tournament in Durban winning two games from three. This role requires me to coach at a high level and administer the 1 st and 2 nd XV fixtures and training. The numbers of players enrolling onto the Rugby Academy has risen from 36 to 64 during my time at HSFC enabling us to run two teams for the first time ever. I act as a personal tutor for first year students. The responsibilities for this role include safeguarding, child protection, career progression, maintaining a safe and confidential relationship and offering advice and support on matters of academic work and personal development.

INTERESTS AND ACHIEVMENTS

I have represented Wales 7’s (Rugby Union) at six IRB tournaments including Dubai, South Africa, San Diego, Hong Kong, Adelaide and Edinburgh.

I have represented Wales Under 20’s, 19’s and 18’s playing in three Junior World Cups, two at U19 and one at U20 level. I was selected in the IRB Junior World Cups ‘World 15’ at the end of the U19 tournament, Belfast in 2007.

I have played professional rugby union for the Newport Gwent Dragons, making my debut aged 18 against the Ospreys in the Celtic League. I have played welsh premiership rugby for Cardiff, Newport, Cross Keys and Bedwas RFC. Also, invitational rugby for the Welsh Crawshays, Samarai 7’s and Atlantic Rock.

I made over 115 1st team starts for the Luctonians RFC in National Two North. I was club captain and backs coach for two seasons.

I took the opportunity in the summer of 2009 to play for University of Queensland RFC in Brisbane for 4 months where I excelled and learnt a great deal on and off the field.

I have had success coaching District under 14s and 15s teams and coached the regional Dragons U16s team from 2009-2011.

I completed a work experience period of 120 hours with a Cardiff Blues Academy Skills Coach where I learnt a lot from observing and helping prepare and deliver coaching sessions.

The summer of 2010 I lived in Calgary, Alberta for four months to play rugby and experience North America. Later, in 2015 I returned to compete in the Canadian championships representing the Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia & Quebec.
