We could not have dreamed up a better vacation. Beautiful mountains, gentle and spirited animals, and staff that values those things as much as we do. We are so sad to leave, but more than any other vacation, this one sends us home stronger, well rested and just a bit spoiled!
We are so glad to have shared this place with all of you and have truly cherished making your acquaintance. It is always hard to tear ourselves away from work and all of the demands on our time at home. But this trip to Peuma Hue has taught us that it is truly worth the effort to find the place where we can experience nature, relaxation and companionship with special animals and like minded people from around the world.
Thank you! We´ll miss you! But we´ll be back for cocktails, hiking and rough-housing with the dogs in 2012!

What a fabulous way to spend 4 nights on your beautiful ranch. At first we wondered if we made the right choice given that we have a 1 year old & a 2 ½ year old. Within minutes we knew it was definitely the right decision and our kids spent their days hiking, horseback riding (yes!), and practicing spanish. You offer a service that is outstanding, activities that suit all ageas & fitness levels and accommodations which are comfortable and with precious views. Fueron 5 días maravillosos y tan intensos que nos parece que llegamos ayer…. La belleza del paisaje y la calidez de su gente hacen este lugar único y adorable. Pudimos experimentar el contacto real con la naturaleza y conectarnos con nuestra esencia; nos vamos felices, con gente linda ocupando un lugar en nuestro corazón, una mochila llena de alegría y hermosos recuerdos, 5 kg de rocas recogidas de la diversidad de este lugar y el sonido del agua haciendo camino entre las rocas de la montaña y el viento en nuestros oídos.
La magia la ponen ustedes. Ustedes hacen de este lugar toda una experiencia.

We have had a wonderful four days of calm and fresh air in this fantastic place, with many thanks to Evelyn for creating this space, her staff for their warmth and providing us with wonderful food and adventures, her dogs for guiding us through the hills (maybe with a few detours and muddy paws), and a big thank you to Chris and her horses (especially Moreira and Negro) for taking us around and up the hills too steep to walk. We will find it very hard to leave and speed up to city life again, but we will take a piece of here back with us, and hopefully return some time in the future.

We arrived on a perfectly gorgeous Spring day to this enchanted setting and were greeted warmly by Alpha and Gandhi and the genuinely caring staff of Peuma Hue.
We hiked, explored, rode horses with Chris, shared fabulous meals with other interesting guests and the longer we stayed, the more special this place became, and the staff felt like family. Four friends gathered here from different parts of the US (Washington DC and Salt Lake City, UT). After two days, we had to leave. But we left richer and happier because of the experience. Gracias a Uds hemos pasado las vacaciones soñadas. Vinimos con nuestros hijos de 1 y 3 años con un molde de ciudad y nos los llevamos con un molde de libertad. Nunca imaginamos que iban a disfrutar tanto de la naturaleza. En Peuma logramos combinar los placeres de una hotelería de lujo con la felicidad de estar en familia.
La atención y dedicación superó nuestras expectativas y logró que nos sintiéramos como en casa. Todas las actividades planificadas y coordinadas nos permitieron disfrutar a pleno cada momento de nuestra estadía.
En nuestra vuelta a casa, nos llevamos los recuerdos de fotos y el anhelo de poder el año que viene volver a visitarlos.

What can I say? Probably just telling you I have been a second time, just tells you everything.
I just love this place, the people (the staff), the dogs, the horses, everything is just “TOP”.
It is not possible to sleep bad, nothing will disturb you! Also after a week, even with the activities you do, you will gain some kilos because the food & wine are just too good.
To say it in Spanish: Aquí es un lugar muy lindo!. Or to say it in Dutch: Heerlyke plek om te verblywen.

Cuando vi el lugar por Internet me atrapó (yo soy de amores a primera vista). Pero la realidad superó mis expectativas, no sólo en paisaje, confort, pero sobre todas las cosas atención. Y acá quiero detenerme: la atención incluyó cariño y un amor a mi hija que ya justificó el viaje. Otro punto a destacar es la excelencia en la comida. No hubo un plato que no me sorprendiera. Todos fueron un encanto Jime, Manu, Marcelo, Diego (dotado de una gran educación y elegancia que hacen sentir muy bien al huésped), Cris (la genia de los caballos); pero quiero resaltar el amor hacia los niños que brinda Mariana que hizo de las vacaciones de mi hija una verdadera gloria. Vamos a volver porque ya sentimos a Peuma Hue parte de nuestra familia.

Alguna vez leí en algún lugar que Peuma Hue es un sitio “mágico” y hoy llevo en mi corazón la dicha de haber comprobado “la magia” de este lugar. La fantasía, la ilusión, el ensueño hecho realidad en una síntesis absolutamente extraordinaria. Vuelvo a casa creyendo nuevamente en Duendes, habiendo revitalizado mi niñez, con los ánimos llenos de alegría, felicidad e iluminación. Vuelvo con la felicidad sensiblemente mejorada y habiendo conocido en el mundo un lugar mágico, realmente mágico. Espero volver una y otra vez aunque me voy con la certeza de no poder olvidarlos nunca jamás. Mil gracias a todo su equipo, al de humanos y al de no humanos. Peuma Hue has been my own place of dreams for eight years now. Every time I leave, I know I may never be lucky enough to return & so I hold tight to memories of this mountain, this deep blue water, these yellow poplars, and the love and warmth of Evelyn and all the staff here. Clear, precise memories – of the coihue trees by water, of drinking pure water from the stream, of the view or lake & shore from high up – remain with me, give me peace, sustain me.
And so it seems miraculous to have returned again, and this time to be able to share it with Toby. We have had such a wonderful time here – all the wonderful hikes, rides, kayaking and massages – the fire, the exquisite canapés and your warm welcome have given us just what we needed. Opening our hearts and giving us peace.

Thank you for a wonderful four night stay. We loved the Estancia, the lake and all of the activities. Chris was fantastic in teaching us how to ride – we finished our stay with a day of cantering (having arrived with no experience at all). Alpha and Gandhi were the most amazing guides on our hikes.

We came here after a rather hectic 3 week tour of Patagonia and found a perfect haven of peace & quiet. As a “fishing widow” (my husband went fly-fishing for 3 days) I found lots of activities to do; horse-riding, kayaking, Yoga & massage and lots of good company. Peuma Hue, what a wonderful place!
The location, scenery, staff & friends, animals and weather were (and are) outstanding.
Time to relax and unwind;
places to explore;
a stream to fish, with brook trout hungry and full of fight;
a serene deep blue lake, calm as glass and/or full of white tops.
Horseback riding was wonderful, the family did not want to leave “their” horses, nor newfound friends.
Hiking along and above the lake provided stunning views.
The Peuma Hue staff were a pleasure to us all.
Our three children did not want to leave.

2 nights seems like a week of tranquility. What a haven you have developed here – please do not grow too much.
The challenges of crossing waterfalls & scrambling like mountain goats feels like a great achievement.
