Brief Status for Project on four lanning of of NH-211 1. Yedshi (Km.100/000) – Aurangabad (Km.290/200) 1 General Information : 1.1 The NH-211 starts from Solapur and ends at Dhule with total length of 453km. At Dhule it meets with NH-3 (Mumbai-Agra) and NH-6 (Surat-Nagpur) whereas at Solapur it meets NH-13 (Solapur-Mangalore) and NH-9 (Pune-Machilipatnam). 1.2 The section of National Highway between Yedeshi (Km 100) and Aurangabad (Km 290+200) is one of the major link (length 190.200 km) on National Highway NH- 211.and passes through four districts Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad in the State of Maharashtra. 2. Salient Features of the Existing Highway : 2.1 The existing road generally has a 2-lane configuration flexible pavement structure with poor geometry (horizontal, vertical and sight distance. 2.2 There are 5 major bridges and 46 minor bridges along the Project Highway. There are approximately 143 nos. of culverts, both pipe and slab type. 2.3 The road alignment is generally lacking in road safety and does not meet the current good industry practices and Standards like MORTH Manual for Safety in Road Design requirements. 3. Proposed improvements on NH-211 : 3.1 The estimated civil cost is to be about Rs. 1904 crores i.e. about 10 crores per kilometre of the road. The project road is found economically viable returning a NPV of Rs 29,161.32 million and an EIRR of 26.9% which is comfortably above the threshold of 12%. RFP is opened on 19/3/2014 and IRB is found to be the successful bidder. LOI signed on 28-04-2014. 3.2 Other facilities / improvements : ROB/ RUB 01No. (For proposed railway line in Beed Bypass) Flyovers 05 Nos Vehicular Underpasses 15Nos. Toll Plaza (6+6 lane 3 Nos.5 Current Status as on 30/05/2014.

(i) 3(D) for 88 villages of 543.227 hect published in the Gazette of India; 93% of 3(D) completed and Land absolutely vested to the Central Govt. i.e. with NHAI. The process of 3(G) is in progress with concern CALA. LA Awards are targeted to complete by 30 th June, 2014.

(ii) Utility shifting estimates are targeted to be collected from the Utility owners by 30 th June, 2014 .

(iii) GAD for ROB over the proposed railway line is under finalisation in consultation with railways and targeted to be submitted to railways by 30 th June, 2014.

(iv) The project is approved by PPPAC on 21/05/2013. CCEA has cleared the

project on 15/11/2013 and Environmental clearance is granted by MoEF on 27/12/2013.

(v) RFP opened on 19-03-2014 and successful bidder is found as M/s IRB. LOI signed on 28-04-2014.
