Fountain and Aerator 3Phase Electrical Control Panels

This specification is written and intended to provide bidders the necessary information pertaining to the floating aerating fountain(s) or surface aerator (s) for the _______________ project.

1. CF-3235 (208/240V 3 Phase) DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS1.1. Units : Shall be used with 2.3JF, 2.3VFX, 3.3JF, 5.3JF, and 5.3VFX units. Shall be included

standard with the fountain package.1.2. Panel Specifics : Electrical control panel shall be 208/240V 3 phase rated and wired. Included shall

be a surge protector, motor starter with adjustable overload and phase monitoring protection, angled terminal block, and input terminal for field installed interlock.

1.3. Enclosure : Electrical control panel shall be NEMA type 4x/3r, non-metallic, weatherproof enclosure. Included on the inside door panel shall be field terminal diagram, electrical schematic, and startup procedure. Enclosure shall be lockable with a Hand/Off/Auto switch mounted on the side of the panel.

1.4. GFI Protectoin : Electrical control panel shall include a 3 phase rated and approved 5ma Personnel Rated protection.

1.5. Timer : Electrical control panel shall include two 24 hour mechanical timers. One to control the fountain and one to control the optional lighting.

1.6. Power Connection : Electrical control panel shall hard wired into the appropriate 208/240V 3 phase circuit on site. The Fountain shall be hard wired into the terminal block in the control panel.

2. CF-3075 (208/240V 3 Phase) DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS2.1. Units : Shall be used with 7.3JF units. Shall be included standard with the fountain package.2.2. Panel Specifics : Electrical control panel shall be 208/240V 3 phase rated and wired. Included shall

package.3.2. Panel Specifics : Electrical control panel shall be 208/240V 3 phase rated and wired. Included shall

3.5. Timer : Electrical control panel shall include 24 hour mechanical timer.3.6. Power Connection : Electrical control panel shall hard wired into the appropriate 208/240V 3 phase

circuit on site. The Fountain shall be hard wired into the terminal block in the control panel.

4. WARRANTY INFORMATION4.1. The electrical control panel shall include a 3 year manufacture’s repair warranty on all components.

Unauthorized tampering will void the warranty.

5. ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURER5.1. The electrical control panel shall be a KASCO CF-3235, CF3075, or CA-3235 Model manufactured

by Kasco Marine, Inc., 800 Deere Rd., Prescott, WI U.S.A 54021. 715-262-4488. www.KascoMarine.com.

6. INSTALLATION6.1. Electrical Control Panel: The electrical control panel must be installed per instructions and

National Electrical code. Any alterations or substitutions, unless allowed by the instructions in the Owner’s Manual will void the ETL Listing, void the manufacturer’s warranty, and may cause a dangerous situation. Read the Owner’s Manual thoroughly before starting the installation process and follow them carefully.
