5 A reminder that students will be taking the PARCC and CMAS
assessments. All grade levels will be assessed in Math, Reading,
and Writing.
7th graders will also be assessed in Social Studies and 8th
graders in Science.
Historically, Erie Middle School has performed well on the
Colorado State
Assessments. Please encourage your students to try their hardest
as well as get
enough rest and eat well in preparation for the PARCC/CMAS
assessments

APRIL 6-10 Our Tigers Who Code Club members were invited to
GE
Analytical Instruments on Monday, March 9th. They took
a tour and had lunch with some of the staff! According to
the girls, it was fabulous!

The Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley announces
Youre the Top Tribute to Teachers to be held on May 8, 2015. The
event will be held at The Plaza Conference Center and will include
a dinner, entertainment and presentation of the Encore Awards for
excellence in teaching.
Recognizing three teachers from each St. Vrain Valley school
annually
The recognition received at the Encore Awards celebration
reminds teachers of the great appreciation and respect that the
community holds for its out-standing teachers. As Encore Award
recipient Jim Asmus, CDC Multimedia Technology Teacher states,
"Obviously teachers don't do their job for the recognition they
might get, but it is still nice to get that recognition once in a
while. The award means a lot to me as a reminder that there is
support for our efforts to make each school day a great learning
experience for students."
The Encore Awards are presented at wonderful ceremony called the
Tribute to Teachers. The Foundation hosts the Tribute with the
generous financial sup-port of our business and community partners.
In fact, the recognition we are able to give to our fantastic
teachers would not be possible without the finan-cial contributions
