Are you interested in joining the Erie
MS Boys and Girls Soccer Team?There will be an interest meeting
on
Monday, February 8th in Mr.
Maughan's room from 3:10-3:30pm. All
8th graders, 7th graders, and 6th
graders interested in playing soccer
this spring should attend.
Come meet the coaches, Mrs. Budden
and Mr. Maughan, and talk about the
spring 2016 soccer season. Snacks will
be provided. Come support the EMSTigers by joining the Soccer
Team!

Erie High School
Erie Middle School will be hosting its first National History
Day competition on
Wednesday, February 210th at 5:30 pm Erie High School. The
contestants have
been working for months to create award winning projects
based on this years theme:
Exploration, Encounters, and Exchange
Please join the contestants who will be showcasing their
projects before hopefully
moving to the Regional, State, and National level
competitions.

Is your iPad case broken? Did your dog eat your cord? Students
can now
order iPad accessories online from EMS.If you would like a new
case,
charger, cord or screen protector you can go toems.svvsd.organd
click
on Student Forms Webpage and then iPad Accessories. The fee will
appear
on Infinite Campuswithin 48 hoursof submitting the iPad
accessory
form. Once the fee has been paid, you may pick up your accessory
from
Ms. Hebrink in the Counseling Office.
Did your SVVSD email stop working? Are you having trouble with
wi-fi at
school? If you have any problems with your iPad you can sign up
for iPad
assistance using the online form. Go toems.svvsd.organd click
on
student forms webpage and then request for iPad help. Students
will be
called to the Library for appointments with Ms. Monroe or Ms.
Palmer as
soon as possible.
We are excited to share that we will have a visit from Astronaut
Leroy
Chaio from the Space Foundation in Community Program. He will be
here on
Friday, February 19th from 8:15-10:45 a.m. He will share his
experiences
and conduct hands-on activities with our students!
Make sure to attend our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Orchestra
concert on
Thursday, February 18th. It will start at 7:00 pm in the Erie
High
School Auditorium. Come support our wonderful Music
Programs.
Due to Parent/Teacher Conferences, after school activities will
not meet
on Tuesday, February 9th and Thursday, February 11th.
A friendly reminder from our Transportation Department: If your
student
needs to ride a different bus to and/or from school, make sure
to fillout the Special Transportation Request. Ideally, this should
be done 24
hours ahead of time. You can get it from the District website,
svvsd.org,
or from the attachment in this Update. Just fill it out, bring
it in and
we will fax it over for you!
The EMS National History Day Competition has been
rescheduled
forWednesday, February 10th at 5:30at Erie High School. We
are
joining EHS for their National History Day competition, but will
have a
separate junior division section for EMS students.
