Remove the Smart-Tip™ probe from test unit. 1 Test Preparation Trace Material Swipe the paper of the Smart-Tip™ probe across the suspect surface. Place the Smart-Tip™ probe into liquid. Make sure paper is wet. 3 Test Preparation Flex Pins Identification Do not continue unless probe is locked below the Flex Pins and cannot be removed from the test unit. STOP 4 5 With thumb and forefinger, squeeze chamber 1 until capsule breaks. Gently shake test unit for a few seconds. Lock Smart- Tip™ probe into test unit. Press firmly. Identification 6 7 With , thumb and forefinger squeeze chamber 2 until capsule breaks. Gently shake test unit for a few seconds. Results If color develops, proceed to Disposal. If no color develops, proceed to Step 8. Substance: The appearance of an orange color in either the front or back window indicates the presence of Peroxide. Traces: The appearance of an orange or yellow color in either the front or back window indicates the presence of Peroxide. 8 9 With , thumb and forefinger squeeze chamber 3 until capsule breaks. Gently shake test unit for 10 seconds. Chamber 3 Identification Chamber 3 Results If no orange or yellow color develops, neither TATP nor Peroxide is present. Substance: The appearance of an orange color in either the front or back window indicates the presence of TATP. Traces: The appearance of an orange or yellow color in either the front or back window indicates the presence of TATP. The test kit is safe to dispose of in the trash. 10-14 Disposal
