BARCELONA TRAM (TRAMBESOS). STRETCH: PLAZA DE LAS GLORIAS - SANT ADRIÀ DEL BESÒS

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTBarcelona, 2005-2006

The new T-5 line of the tram in project,which is around 2,750 m long, connectsthe Sant Martí neighbourhood and SantAdrià del Besòs town. Its layout starts incurrent T-4 line. From the Plaza de lasGlorias, it is divided into two lines: theexisting T-4 line, which goes through theAvenida Diagonal; and the new T-5layout which goes through the Gran Víaside carriageway (sea side).

From the Rambla de Poblenou, wherethe Can Jaumeandreu station is located,the line goes through the halfunderground structure of Gran Vía (seaside) until it comes to the surface oncethe Rambla de Prim in Sant Adrià deBesòs is left behind. Currently, the T-5line ends in the city of Badalona. Thestretch in project envisages the locationof a total of five stops, two stops in thesurface (Farinera y Can Jaumeandreu)and another three half undergroundstops (Clot de la Mel, Treball and Besòs-L-4).
