The 12 courses for 2020 include:Monday-Wednesday • Policy Options on Mental Health in the SDGs era.• Changing behaviors through an upstream and downstream

approach to social change.• NCD control in a global health perspective: Public health and

systems strengthening approaches.• Systems analytics. Data driven decision making made easy.• Strategic Project Management.• Is Breathing killing us? Tackling Air Pollution using science for

policies to protect health.

Thursday-Saturday • Generating Demand for better public health goods and services:

A systems and consumer centered approach.• Community-based Participatory Methods in Public Health:

Informing, Understanding, and Co-creating.• Better Health Faster: Using Law and Policy Effectively in Public

Health.• Applied health economics for policy design and evaluation.• The digital and spatial epidemiology of mental health: Improving

well-being through policy and programs informed by social media data.

• Multisectoral approaches for health: Implications for Policy and Practice.

Organizers The courses are organized by the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+), the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

Venue The courses take place in Lugano, Switzerland.

Participants Courses are intended for professionals and managers of health administrations, hospitals and other services and facilities within the health sector, policy-makers, master and doctoral students.

Course Structure

Twelve 3-day courses: from Monday to Wednesday and from Thursday to Saturday

Keynote speeches and panel sessions:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.

Dedicated poster sessions: Participants can submit a poster to share their research or work project.

Social Marketing:In collaboration with the European Social Marketing Association (ESMA), this year we offer 3 courses focused on Social Marketing.

Course credits Each 3-day course is assigned 1 ECTS.

1,500 CHF July 1 – July 31Reduced rates:• Reduced rate for those from low and middle income countries.• Discount of 100 CHF if registering for 2 courses.• Reduced fees for doctoral students enrolled in the SSPH+ Inter- university Graduate Campus (IGC).
