regard to divisional harts.

!strologers of maturity have "uite often said that a shastri is one who an effiiently use the

shodashvarga as given #y $ahirishi %arashara. It is further said that a person who uses the #irth

hart and Navamsha for preditions, is an ardhshastri. &eaders using only the #irth hart may at

some point of time miss the finer piture.

It has #een a ha#it among reent astrologers to ompletely ignore the divisional harts while

giving preditions. The following reasons an #e ited for this pratie'

a. The time of #irth re"uired should #e orret for the effetive use of suh divisional harts.

(This is generally diffiult to ome #y, nowadays).

b. The alulation and interpretation of suh harts re"uire muh skill and only a genuineastrologer an ustify it.

c. This slows the speed of analysis and prediting as lots of data has to #e filtered #efore an

astrologer an reah a onlusion. Normally, this does not suit stereotype preditions. !lso,

those who ome for onsultations normally have no patiene for a detailed analysis.

The seret of reading any divisional hart is to read it as an independent hart and eamine the

!vashtha of the various *arakas therein. In the a#sene of the eat time of #irth in some

eeptional ases, divisional hart an #e eamined from the #irth lagna itself (rashi + tulaya).

The applia#ility of the divisional charts is given #elow'

1.Birth Chart:

This hart is of onsidera#le importane sine this is where the analysis of a horosope starts.

3.Dreshkona:

enerally seen for knowing the happiness and promise from si#lings of the native. -owever, it

0reshkona is not good for the general health and longevity of the native. !part from this, the

planets falling in Sarpa 0reshkona and %hasha 0reshkona is not onsidered good for the native.

4.Chaturthamsha:

enerally seen for asertaining the overall happiness of the native, mainly with regard to the possi#ility of having immova#le assets, partiularly property. This hart an also #e seen for the

possi#ility of foreign immigration or hange of residene. $arriage of a girl hild (as it

results or its effets an get diluted. -owever, a planet getting empowered in Navamsha #y

getting vargottama or #y getting ealted will give good results. !part from this, Navamsha is a

astrology are hidden in the use of this divisional hart. Normally, no predition should #e made

without onfirming it from the Navamsha. The lord of 23th Navamsha from the $oon #eomes

".Dashamsha:

This hart is seen generally to get a lear piture of the profession of the native. The plaementand avashtha of the tenth lord of the #irth hart is important here. !part from that the rashi rising

in the 45th house of this divisional hart and the influene on the 45th house has also to #e

onsidered, to udge the profession and any professional growth or fall of the native. Like any

#.D$adashamsha:

native. This hart in women horosopy is also said to show the harater of the native. It is said

that in ase of women if Trimshamsha of $ars is rising she is of "uestiona#le harater.-owever, this hart an also #e read to verify the harater in ase of a male native.

14.)havedamsha:

This is generally seen for studying the auspiious and inauspiious effets of horosope on the

native. But, it has to #e noted that in predition this hart annot #e used muh as even few

seonds of time differene an hange the lagna. This should #e used only on thoroughly

retified horosopes.

15.*kshvedamsha:

This is seen for asertaining the harater of the native and for general auspiious andinauspiious effet. -ere, as in a#ove ase this hart #eomes too time=sensitive, making it

diffiult to take it into aount while giving predition.

1.Shastiamsha:

$aharishi %arashara has given lots of importane to this hart. This should #e seen for every

predition. This hart makes the reading interesting and makes the analysis aurate. -owever,

again the limitation of this is that it an #e used on an astrologially retified hart.
