January 2018 Investment Summary
• January saw 15 deals (9 disclosed) with $5.8M across 8 MENA countries
• 12 of the 15 deals took place at the SEED Stage, 1 at Angel (Jibly) and 2 at Series A (Tamatem, Neumann)
• Funding has seen a $9M decrease YoY January, as well as 1 deal less
• 6 of the deals occurred in UAE Startups, 2 in Palestinian, Jordanian and Lebanese respectively and 1 in KSA, Tunisia and Egyptian respectively
