New-home sales in Eagle Springs increased 21% in 2013compared to 2012, when 264 homes were sold in the 1,361-acrecommunity, which is located along Will Clayton Parkway.

The 2013 sales increase was fueled by a major upswingin the number of out-of-town relocation buyers, alongwith new products designed to appeal to a broader vari-ety of homebuyers.

Eagle Springs introduced more than a dozen new modelhomes in 2013, ranging from low-maintenance townhomespriced from the $160’s, and traditional single-family homesaimed at first-time buyers, with prices from the $170’s. EagleSprings also addressed the upper end of the market, introducingmove-up homes priced from the mid $300’s with up to 5,000square feet.

A wooded environment and Humble ISD schools continueto be strong draws for homebuyers, said Kayla Webb, market-ing director for Newland Communities. “Eagle Springs hasa master plan with 150 acres of recreational amenities, alongwith two Humble ISD elementary schools in the community, anda growing variety of retail and other services onsite,” Webb said.“The Eagle Springs lifestyle has proven to be very compelling tohomebuyers, and that plus all of our new products in 2013helped the community move so far up in the John Burns study.”

The Burns study also held good news for Eagle Springs’ sis-ter community of Cinco Ranch in Katy, which ranked No. 1in Texas and No. 3 in the United States.
