This is an extremely busy time for all at Gundagai Public School as we continue to deliver a variety of experiences to our students and fulfil our school vision commitment of providing high quality educational opportunities for every child every day, where all students are supported and challenged to reach their potential, discover their strengths and pursue their interests. Performing Arts is currently at the forefront of happenings at our school as rehearsals for our musical production, “Gundagai Public School’s Excellent Adventure” are in the final stages and we are very excited about being able to perform this for you next Wednesday and Thursday evening. The opportunity to perform on stage in a school musical production is a wonderful experience and will remain a positive school memory for all involved.
Tickets are selling out quickly, so to ensure you don’t miss out purchase your tickets this week. Money can be sent to school with students or paid online through POP and tickets will be sent home, or you may come to the front school office and view the available seating plan prior to booking. Our Stage One students will also have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience this Friday when they entertain guests at the Anglican Flower Show. Please feel free to pop in and watch them. One of the songs they are performing will give you a sneak preview of one of our production items.

Also this Friday our school students have the opportunity to become an audience when we host Mowbray Public School Concert Band. The school is currently on tour and will be performing for our students as part of their program.
This Thursday evening our school will be hosting an information evening and family barbeque for families considering starting school at Gundagai Public next year. This is a great opportunity for those who attend to meet our wonderful staff and find out about many of the exciting and innovative programs the school has to offer. It is also an evening where we meet some very excited children who are ready to begin Kindergarten in a supportive family environment.
This Friday Nick Tait will be speaking in the state finals of the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre in Surry Hills, Sydney. After taking part in our school public speaking program earlier in the year, Nick has successfully spoke on a number of occasions and has now reached the state final exemplifying that students from small country schools are equally as articulate as their city counterparts. We are very excited for Nick to have such a wonderful opportunity and wish him the very best of luck on the day.
