Studies show that employees who are unhappy will choose to leave an employer because of a manager or co-worker’s behavior towards them. On the other hand, employees are more likely to stay and be productive if your workplace fosters a culture of kindness and civility. In addition to recruitment and retention factors, unkind behavior can lead to harassment and bullying, and may ultimately lead to legal action. Civility is the new movement to avoid harassment.
