Creativity Within RevoltNovember 12-15, 2020 • Baltimore, Maryland

The 2020 Annual Meeting Theme, “Creativity Within Revolt,” calls on scholars, artists, and other intellectuals to rigorously engage the complex legacies of

rebellion, protest, survival, and revolution that confront various systems of oppressive violence, dehumanization and ecological degradation. We encourage participants to rigorously and critically address the terms of both “creativity” and “revolt,” while being attentive to what it means to inhabit the “within” of such collective work. What imaginative and practical possibilities are opened when people move against seemingly immovable systems of violent domination? Thoughtful and creative sessions will enhance our collective (and individual) capacities to engage in public-facing scholarly/pedagogical/creative work inline with the mission of the ASA. In addition to traditional panel and roundtable sessions, such proposals will include skill-sharing, critical solidarity making, activist research, artistic exhibition/demonstration/literacy, and other focused organizing efforts.

NOTE: This year’s packages have “pilot pricing” and, as such, give exhibitors a chance to get to know in-app promotion with the ASA at a cost-per-download pricing pro-rated to last year’s app usage. Future in-app ad pricing may be higher based on member download rates and increased visibility and adoption of the ASA conference app.

Draw attention to your message with an ad on the official ASA Annual Meeting app. We have three options available: Multimedia Video Message, Rotating Banner Ad and special highlighting in the Exhibitor Directory.
