4. Eligibility All competitors carrying a valid 2020 License are eligible to compete for 2020 UIM Offshore Class 3D World Championship. Race Secretariat and Race Administration Pre-Race headquarters for the event and co-ordination point for all race associate communication will be through:

5. Rules and Regulations

• The races will be run under the current UIM Rules as applicable for Offshore Class 3D, together with such

other rules and amendments as may be issued within their jurisdiction, by the Italian National Authority (FIM) and/or Race Committee in the Advance Notice and Race Instructions and/or Drivers Briefing and/or Race Bulletins.

• For any reason that may be considered necessary, the Race Committee reserve the right to change the event/race program as detailed in the Advance Notice and/or Race Instructions.

6. Documentation Any alteration to the registered crew members or other details on the entry list will be allowed up to:

- Class 3D – UIM World Championship - Wednesday, September 30th, before the Drivers Briefing at 18.00; - Class Offshore 5000 – Honda & Class Endurance – FIM Italian Championship – Thursday, October 1st

before the Drivers Briefing at 18:30;

7. Special Conditions / Informations It is mandatory that all participating competitors bring their boats to the Paddocks Area by latest:

- Class 3D – UIM World Championship - Wednesday, September 30th, before 17.00; - Class Offshore 5000 – Honda & Class Endurance – FIM Italian Championship - Thursday October 1st before

18:00; Any late arrivals will liable to a fine and/or non-eligibility to compete, established at the discretion of UIM Commissioner for the World Championship and FIM Commissioner for the Italian Championships. Prize Giving: drivers from each boat ranked in the top 3 overall after the race must appear at the prize- giving, as per the Time Table.

It is MANDATORY, as per UIM Rule and Italian NA Rule, that all participant, in all on-water sessions, will wear the Head & Neck Restraint under control of the UIM Commissioner / Technical Commissioner/s. Any infringement to the Rule will determine a penalty up to the DQ.

8. Dates and Times for Registration & Scrutineering It is provided for the pre-registration. The attached pre-registration form, must be completed by teams and sent by September 20th, 2020 to the following email address:

Registration will take place at the Race Office at the days & times indicated in the Race Time Table. The technical scrutineering starts at the days & times indicated in the Race Time Table. All Technical Scrutineering will take place in the Paddock area.

9. Course Details & Event Format The full Race Course details will be made available to all competitors at Registration. Full details about Start procedures, total laps, 70%, etc., will be described at the Drivers Briefings.

10. Racing Number & National Flag All racing boats must apply, on the bow of the deck and on each board boat side, the Race Number and the National Flag, as described in the UIM 2020 Offshore Rule. The Organiser has the right to affix on each racing boat, the advertising sticker/s of the Event (UIM 203.6).

11. Prizes 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies will be awarded to:

o 2020 UIM Offshore Class 3D World Championship – Race 1 - Race 2 - Race 3 & Championship Overall o 2020 FIM Class Offshore 5000 Italian Championship – Race 1 & Race 2 o 2020 FIM Class Endurance Italian Championship – Race 1 & Race 2 o 2020 FIM Class Honda Offshore Italian Championship – Race 1 & Race 2 o 2020 FIM Class Formula Junior Elite Italian Championship – Race 1

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to award additional prizes. Further details will be provided in the Race Instructions and/or in a Race Bulletin.

12. Insurance

The insurance of the race, including civil responsibility (R.C.) (with the exception of damages among boats) as per Italian law and “haulage and launch”, is charged to the FIM on condition that all the persons involved in the above mentioned operations are formally organized by the Organizers into the signature of tasks letters or work services contracts with description of the entrusted commitments. It is charged to the FIM also the insurance cover for injuries among FIM affiliated drivers. All foreign drivers must personally provide their insurance cover for personal injuries (AD&D); these policies must not be shown to FIM. Instead, as far as the insurance covers for damages caused to third parties (no damages among racing boats), foreign drivers must send to FIM (a.cicchelli@fimconi.it) 28 days before an event take place, copy of their insurance policy (written in English and undersigned by the drivers themselves or by their National Authorities), valid also on the National Italian Territory. The FIM will inform the drivers about the acceptance of the documents received as soon as possible and, anyway, not later than 48 hours before the event. If a driver does not show within the above indicated terms the policy undersigned by him or his National Authority or if the insurance cover results inadequate, the driver, in order to participate to the event, must request the policy insurance extension drawn up by the FIM. The cost of the Civil Responsibility (R.C.) cover extension towards third parties is € 110,00= for Class 3D, € 80,00 for Endurance Group B. The drivers will receive an undersigned receipt. All the drivers (Italians and foreigners) during the administrative verifications, must sign the “Race Organizer Liability Form”, under penalty of no participation to the competition. The UIM, FIM & Local Organizer shall not be held liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage, loss, expense, or injury incurred, sustained or suffered by the competitor on-land, or on-water, as a result of his participation in this event.

13. Environmental Rule All persons involved in the Event are encouraged to minimize any adverse environmental impact of the sport of powerboating. The Team Owner is responsible for any disruptive environment, made by any Team member / crew, including any guests. Every action that causes harm to the environment, including non-respect of using responsibly containers for waste, dumping trash in the areas, etc., a fine will be applied. In particular Team Owners are required to check that the Team members, including Drivers, leave all areas free from trash and plastic waste (bottles, etc.). A Fine of USD 500 will be applied and debited directly to the Team, for not respecting this Rule. The decision of the UIM Commissioner is final

14. Fuel

Refuelling or outside assistance of any sort is not allowed during the Race/s. No fuelling or pouring or decanting of fuel will be allowed during the Race/s. Those operations must be carried out in the ONLY designated fuelling area, under the control of the Pit Official/s. Any transference of fuel in the Pit is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply with this rule may incur in a fine applied by the Race Committee.

15. COVID-19 - Info The Event will be held under the FIM COVID-19 Protocol, approved as per the Italian Law. The Protocol will be available onsite to who will request it. General prescriptions:

- The Event area will be defined and closed; - Signs with the rules of conduct will be posted in the area; - Following the Registration and/or the permission to enter, done by FIM or Organiser, only the PASS holders are

eligible to enter the Area; - Entry to the Area, allowed only for PASS holders, will be regulated by signing a specific declaration and measuring

the temperature. Access will not be allowed in the absence of a declaration and / or with a temperature equal to or greater than 37.5 °;

- The area will be served by at least two points of sanitizing hands (by appropriate sanitizing gel dispenser); - A social distance of at least 1(one) meter must be respected by anyone in the area; - For each participating Team, will be grant the following numbers of peoples:

§ Class 3D - 7 person per boat including the Drivers; § Class Endurance - 7 person per boat including the Drivers; § Class Honda - 4 person per boat including the Drivers; § Class Formula Junior - 3 person per boat including the Drivers;

- Each Team must communicate in advance the list of his crews; - The briefings will be carried out according to the general rules; specifically, the masks and the distance of at least

2 meters between the participants will be mandatory; - The Podium Ceremonies will be conducted in compliance with the above rules on masks and distancing; - The Pontoons (Wet Pit Area) will be able to host a contingent number of people, divided as follows between the

various classes, following the general rule (mask & distance): § 3D Class - no more than 2 people per boat, other than Drivers; § Endurance Class - no more than 2 people per boat, besides the Drivers; § Honda Class - no more than 1 person per boat, other than the Driver; § Formula Junior Class - no more than 1 person per boat, other than the Driver;

- In the Area a special control and permanence point will be identified where to treat any cases of suspicious symptoms, pending possible taking charge of the Health Service;

Hotels

The Organizer, in agreement with FIM, will render available:

- To the 3D Class (or 5000) - N. 1 hotel double rooms, B/B, for 5 nights each registered Team; - To the Endurance Class - N. 1 hotel double rooms, B/B, for 2 nights each registered Team; - To the Honda Offshore Class - N. 1 hotel double rooms, B/B, for 2 nights each registered Team; - To the Formula Junior Elite

o N. 1 hotel double rooms, B/B, for 2 nights each registered Team, for who is coming from Campania, Lazio & Sicilia;

o N. 1 hotel double rooms, B/B, for 1 nights each registered Team, for all the rest of the Italian Regions;
