As Zeal Ambassadors we lead adven-

turous lives that take us around the

world riding, racing, and advocating

for the environment. Zeal has been

supporting my journey, as well as

many others’ adventures, so when I

was asked to join the Zeal family in

Moab, Utah for a road trip, I was keen

to join them.

We explored canyons, found a

waterfall and I mountain biked while

Madison Ellsworth skated a red-rock

sunrise. Another highlight was biking

Slickrock at sunset with the crew

hooting and hollering. It was such a

blast laughing together, collaborating

from dusk ‘til dawn, and sharing our

journeys with each other.

people—whether it be the disadvantaged, at-risk youth or the next generation—

to these places, instilling a love for the outdoors, and inspiring them to work and

advocate for wild places, and continuing that cycle forward.

ADAPTIVE ADVENTURES

Dedicated to connecting disabled individuals to outdoor sports, Adaptive Adventures finds ways to allow people to reignite their passion for adventure and exploration in the outdoor world. Zeal sponsors these programs and provides sunglasses and goggles for its members to see their expanded horizons through our lenses.

DZI FOUNDATION

Passionate about giving back to Himalayan com-munities, dZi focuses on reducing poverty and

improving the quality of life in some of the most remote communities in Nepal. Zeal partners with dZi to provide lightly used sunglasses to Nepal’s local communities to minimize UV and HEV damage, keeping their eyes healthy and their minds inspired.

HIGH FIVES FOUNDATION

The High Fives Foundation supports the dreams of outdoor sports athletes by raising injury prevention awareness while providing resources and inspiration to those who suffer life-altering injuries. Zeal partners with High Fives to get injured athletes back on snow and push their abilities through winter sports.

THE LATITUDE PROJECT

Motivated by a lifetime of travel, the founders of The Latitude Project work to create stronger communities by providing service project oppor-tunities in some of the world’s most premier surf destinations located in disadvantaged countries. Zeal provides sunglasses for these communities that experience high rates of pterygium caused by their coastal settings.

MORE THAN JUST ME

Working tirelessly to raise awareness for the fight against cystic fibrosis, More Than Just Me focuses on finding inspiration through personal accomplishment. Zeal supports this important mission through product donations and financial and event support.

NATIONAL FOREST FOUNDATION

The National Forest Foundation promotes the

enhancement and public enjoyment of the 193-million-acred National Forest Service. Zeal Optics works to support them through programs like our annual Buy A Zeal, Plant A Tree promo-tion to help plant thousands of trees in impacted portions of our National Forests. We believe that these lands are our playgrounds and it is the responsibility of all of us to protect them.

PROJECT 5480

Over the past decade, pine beetles have killed more than 70% of Colorado’s forests, complete-ly altering ecosystems and causing severe fire risks. Zeal works to rebuild our wilderness by planting 5,480 trees annually, a number based

on the elevation of our headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.

PROTECT OUR WINTERS (POW)

POW’s mission is to mobilize the winter sports community to lead the fight against climate change; focusing on education initiatives, advo-cacy, and supporting community-based projects. Zeal works with POW, by providing funds and sunglass and goggle donations throughout the year to ensure a future for our passions in a rapidly changing world.

SOS OUTREACH

SOS Outreach was founded in 1993 in the Vail Valley of Colorado. This program provides risk prevention, outdoor recreation, and environ-mental education to Colorado’s youth. Zeal helps this group experience the outdoors and their possibilities through grants and the dona-tion of goggles and sunglasses each year.

OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE SUNGLASSES THAT ENHANCE YOUR TIME

OUTDOORS WHILE WORKING TO PROTECT THE WORLD AROUND US.

Zeal Optics’ frames and Ellume Polarized lenses are made from Z-Resin, a plant-based material derived from the castor plant. The castor plant is a fast-growing perennial that is easy to plant, withstands drought, and thrives on marginal lands.

We process the castor beans into our propri-etary Z-Resin material which replaces pe-troleum-based plastics in our sunglasses. By replacing traditional plastics with Z-Resin, we significantly reduce the amount of CO2 produced during our manufacturing process.

This durable plant-based material also contrib-utes to a lighter finished weight, making our sunglasses more comfortable for everyday wear and activity.

THE Z-RESIN LIFECYCLE

The beans are processed into castor oil.

ProFlex RubberThis unique material is strategically injected into various parts of the frame to provide a soft, non-slip hold. ProFlex withstands extreme hot and cold temperatures so your sunglasses stay in place no matter what the day brings. Select styles.

Z-LiteZ-Lite uses our Z-Resin frame material with a thin injection process for an ultra-lightweight, durable sunglass for complete versatility no matter the activity. Select styles.

Base CurveBase curve defines how much curve a frame has. The higher the number, the more wrap the frame offers. 4-base lays flat on the face, 6-base are slightly curved and 8-base styles provide more of a wrap.

Double & Triple InjectionOur state-of-the-art injection process allows for double and triple colored frames, adding a subtle pops of color. The material is colored prior to injection, ensuring it will not wear off. Select styles.

Hidden Spring HingeInnovative tooling allows us to place the spring hinge inside the body of the temple for a comfortable fit and flexibility to complement an active lifestyle. Select styles.
