The blind spot detecion system

The TurnCAM® recognizes endangered persons in the dead corner. The driver receives a visual and audible warning. All TurnCAM® systems have the general operating permit to promote the BMVI.

Simply turn off the blind spot

The ROSHO-TurnCAM® consists of a few, high-performance components. This includes the Blind Spot Detection Box, which has a side camera detection feature. This registers every moving object that is in the detection area. Your activation of the display is automatic. The corresponding loudspeaker can be switched on and off via the speed signal and / or turn signal or GPIO signals.

Approval by the Federal Motor Transport Authority

TurnCAM® meets all the technical requirements that have been formulated by the Federal Ministry of Transport for turnaround assistance systems. This includes, for example, a precisely defined coverage area: this includes a rectangle of 0.9 to 2.5 meters on the right-hand side of the vehicle; starting from the front right corner of the vehicle to six meters behind the vehicle front.The ROSHO turn-off assistant has just passed the time-consuming test procedure at DEKRA and has thus received the report for the granting of a general operating permit (ABE). It corresponds to the instructions and guidelines issued by the Federal Minister of Transport, according to the wording of the report. This makes TurnCAM® one of the first officially approved systems on European roads.

How the system works:

The DMB box should be connected to the composite video input (F-bus or yellow RCA plug) and the analog audio input (red and white RCA plug) of the Bosch / Blaupunkt radio.

The digital device is connected to the DMB's HDMI port. The special HDMI video output cable allows you to connect any iPhone / iPad with a Lightning connector. In the same way, you can connect Android smartphones with an MHL cable.

A notebook or laptop can be connected via an HDMI cable as soon as the corresponding port is available.

Due to the 12-48V DC power supply connected to the ignition (pin 15) and to the ground cable (PIN 31) in the bus, we can charge the iPhone / iPad versions with a maximum of 2.1A - please use our USB port function on the DMB device.

The collected data is transmitted to central server systems, logged there, processed and displayed on client systems. Messages about status changes can also be triggered by eMail or SMS.

System & error analysisThe automated data collection and evaluation can be used to validate systems in public transport, for example to be used for passenger counting or regarding the availability (functionality) of components.
