    Reading of Prospectus

    Parents and Guardians are requested to go through the 'Prospectus' and understand all aspects before inadmitting their wards the college.

    Parents’ Meetings

    Parents and Guardians are requested to attend the parents’ meetings and meet to the Class Teacher / Head of the Department / Principal to have the information about the progress of their wards.

    Evaluations / Examinations

    The examinations of all degree programmes are on Credit, Grading and Semester basis. So, parents are requested to see the regularity and compliance of rules and regulations of evaluation or s examinations of their wards.

    If the learners / wards are irregular in attendance and not up to the mark in internal evaluations / semester end examinations or failed to attain these examinations, they are not allowed to fill in the examination forms. In such a case, they are personally responsible for their academic loss.

    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year integrated programme leading to the

    degree of Bachelor of Arts must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination

    conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher

    Secondary Education with the following subjects -

    Provided, however, that applications of graduates of this University in the faculties other than the Faculty

    of Arts, or those who have passed the equivalent Examination of another recognized University seeking

    admission to the M.A. degree programme - English Literature Semester I by papers, will be considered by the

    Principal of a college where the Post-Graduate Centre is granted.

    I. Eligibility

    a) Semester I

    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the programme leading to the degree of Master of Arts -English

    Literature Semester I must have passed the Examination for the degree of Bachelor of Arts - English Literature

    (Three years integrated programme) of University of Mumbai or the degree of Bachelor of Arts - English

    Literature (Old that is four years programme) of University of Mumbai or a degree of another University

    recognized as eguivalent thereto.

    The following procedure shall be followed for such admission -

    A written test consisting of 2 papers as under shall be administered in the subject of English Literature.

    1. An essay paper in the subject

    2. A paper to test the learner's general acquaintance with the subject

    b) Semester II

    c) Semester III

    A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III not with standing that he / she may not have appeared

    for Semester I and / or Semester II Examination’s or failed in one or more courses at Semester I and / or Semester II.

    d) Semester IV

    A learner is eligible to be admitted to Semester II irrespective of number of heads of failure in the Semester I

    1. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of number of courses of failure in Semester III.

    However learner has to pass each course of Semester I and Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV.

    2. A learner can appear for Semester IV Examination but the result of Semester IV shall be kept in abeyance until

    the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II and Semester III.

    I. Eligibility

    a) Semester I

    A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three years integrated programme leading to the degree

    of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std. XII)

    conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, in the following

    subjects -

    1. English (Higher or lower level) carrying 100 marks.

    2. Any one of the modern Indian languages or modern foreign languages or any classical language

    (Higher level or lower level) or Information Technology carrying 100 marks.

    b) Semester II

    A learner is eligible to be admitted to Semester II irrespective of number of heads of failure in the Semester I.

    3. Four other subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 400 marks.
