FIT GUIDE

1. Neck Measure neck circumfer-ence where the standard button type collar might be fastened.

2. Sleeve Length Measure the distance from the prominent bone at center back neck, across the shoulder, over the bent elbow, to the center of the wrist bone.

3. Chest Measure the chest circum-ference at the fullest point, keeping the tape horizontal around the body.

4. Waist Measure the waist circum-ference at the smallest part of the waist, often at or above the belly button, keeping the tape horizontal around the body.

The apparel industry has come a long way from the 100% cotton tee. Tri-blends continue to increase in popularity and it’s not without good reason. Combining just the right amount of cotton, polyester, and rayon gives you a shirt with amazing softness, strength, and drape. It’s the best of all worlds.

C o t t o n : breathable, durable, comfortable. All excellent attributes of the classic fabric we know and love. Cotton has im-proved dramatically over time and has evolved from a scratchy indus-try standard, to combed and ring spun yarns that produce a surprisingly soft touch.

P o l y e s t e r : smooth, shiny, resilient. Polyes-ter is a tough, yet light-weight fabric that can hold up wash after wash. We can thank this fab-ric from saving us from hours of pesky ironing or steam cleaning--wrin-kles don’t stand a chance against a good poly. And while we can’t thank it for the pills on our sweat-ers and shirts, the other fabrics in the blends have its back.

R a y o n : soft, excellent drape, radiant. Bringing rayon into the mix makes for a garment with su-perior drape and flow. It is a very soft, breathable fabric with high moisture absorbency. This means that it is an ideal choice for summer, as it absorbs sweat and wicks it away from the skin. Rayon helps reduce the amount of pilling, but does not combat wrinkles quite like polyester.

With the right balance of all 3, you can harvest all the benefits each fabric brings to the table. It’s no surprise that our tri-blends are so sought after.

Insect Shield® Repellent Apparel products are revolutionary and designed to deliver proven, long-lasting, odorless, effective and convenient personal insect protection.

Insect Shield Repellent Apparel combines the Insect Shield process (a propri-etary formulation of permethrin) with superior technical fabrics resulting in long-lasting insect protection enhanced by permanent moisture management and sun protection.

How did permethrin originate, and what are its uses?

The Insect Shield process binds a proprietary permethrin formula tightly to fabric fibers—resulting in effective, odorless insect protection that lasts the ex-pected lifetime of apparel. Permethrin has been successfully used in the United States as an U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered product since 1977, with an excellent safety record. It is used in lice shampoos for chil-dren, flea dips for dogs, and various other products, some of which are regulat-ed by the FDA.

Which insects does Insect Shield repel?

Insect Shield® Repellent Apparel has been proven and registered to repel mos-quitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges (no-see-ums). The EPA requires extensive effectiveness data to prove a product’s ability to repel insects. Many species and varieties of these insects have been tested, including those that can carry dangerous diseases.

Insect Shield technology results from years of intensive research and field study. Numerous studies have confirmed the effectiveness of permethrin-treat-ed clothing as an insect repellent. Insect Shield’s own testing methods follow United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines, and the results con-clusively show that our unique, long-lasting insect protection works.
